Musings on a Small Life

I think traversing our sidewalks should be a new Winter Olympic sport! They're not all this bad...yet. With the most snow in almost 25 years, though, it's a challenge! I'd be in the running for a gold medal, at least in the senior category! 🏅 😆 Happy Friday, all! It's a long weekend, Monday being Family Day in Ontario. (The holiday has other names in different provinces.) I'm looking forward to more practice in Sidewalk Traversing! Happy Valentine's Day to all, have a lovely weekend!

I just called the clinic to speak with Meghan re: Toby, see how he's settling into their barn. Well. He's still at the clinic!!! Meghan wasn't there, but the other young woman said he's loose with the other resident cats and is quite happy, is very loving. Meghan apparently hasn't had a time when she's not had her dogs with her, and so Toby still is waiting for transport. I don't know what to think. On the one hand, he's abruptly gone from a street cat to living indoors at this clinic for a week and a half. Yikes. On the other hand, he's getting food, human and cat attention and apparently is content. Maybe someone there will fall in love with him and take him home? Maybe he'll end up being another resident clinic cat? I'll update as soon as I have further information. *** BTW, the boys wish everyone a happy Valentine's Day.(Enlarge to view properly.)

It's an excuse--as if I ever need one--to eat chocolate. Even when I was with the putz for all those years, we never made much of this day. Then, it was just an excuse to eat out at a nice restaurant. I'll take chocolate over putzes any day!  :-D By the way, of course I didn't take this photo. It obviously was done by a professional and I never would be able to let a box of good chocolate sit uneaten for the duration of a photo shoot.
