Musings on a Small Life

A bit of silliness for the day! The snow angel is mine, from a couple of mornings ago, on the way home from my pre-work walk. I was overcome by the desire to do something child-like and joyful, for sheer delight. So I learned that I can still get down to make a snow angel (jacket hood up!), but getting back up in deep snow is more like a huge fish flopping around on a wharf. 🤣  Take care, all, and stay warm if you're in this deep freeze!

Five year old Macadamia earlier this morning, outside my favourite downtown café. Isn't she gorgeous?! Very friendly too. 😍 Stay safe and as sane as possible, everyone. ❤️🙏

I can't write anything "funny" at the moment. I don't even actively watch the news anymore, yet this week I have felt sick with fear and anxiety. The song, "Eve of Destruction" seems applicable, and I believe that anyone who thinks otherwise is fooling themselves. The world will never again be as many of us have known it all our lives. I pray I'm being overly pessimistic, but.... Anyway.  I went back to work on Wednesday, so it's a short week to ease into the routine, after 18 days off.  I didn't do much walking or picture-taking, the weather was mostly too bad or cold, and the sidewalks too treacherous with ice.
