It's a mancat Monday

Image
I'm not sure if  most of you who still blog for your cats do "Mancat Mondays" any longer -- I know some of you do, at least. So before I actually get up from the desk and leave the premises over lunch (gasp!), I thought I'd post pics of the boys from the past few days, enjoying the back space -- and TWO lawn chairs.  :-)               Comments are off. Everyone take care and I'll be around to visit blogs when I can, if I haven't already. Peace .

You know you look bad when you get a senior's discount, and you're not a senior

I had popped into a drugstore this afternoon for something and ended up being given the senior's discount. Granted, their "senior" label applies to 55+ (I'm 53). The guy behind the cash did ask me if I was 55 and I said no, close but not yet. He gave it to me anyway. LOL. I'm surprised he didn't suggest I visit the make-up counter for something to cover the dark , dark circles under my eyes.  :-P Anyway, we're still here and all fine (as far as I can tell), I'm just overwhelmed and insanely busy at work -- it's probably the most prolonged period of stress and busyness in my 16 years 7 months there. Probably the closest I've been to burning out too, other than when I was clinically depressed in the early years there. Hence the lack of posting and visiting.  So I'll just leave you with some pics I took in early July, down at Lake Ontario Park, but never got around to posting. I went down one Sunday morning to take pics of the high w...

Tuesday Tussle: "To the victor goes the spoils"

Or in this case, the victor kept the spoils. The snapshots are self-explanatory.                            Peace .

And all the rest of it

Besides visiting The Big Apple (see previous post) with Robin last week, we crammed quite a few other things in too! Overexposed snapshot of the Keelers Wharf monument. This is where we got that heavy piece of driftwood Robin showed on her blog .  Keelers Wharf adjoins private property. Nice location! Wicklow Beach, located between Brighton and Cobourg. We had it to ourselves, though when Robin was there the previous Sunday with a friend, the place was packed.   The water felt so good on my feet! It's been years since I've had the opportunity to walk along a beach, it was wonderful. We also visited every thrift store in Brighton and Cobourg! This is Louie, the store cat at the Northumberland Humane Society thrift shop. Every time I visit Robin, we go to see Louie! This time he was outside, enjoying some fresh air (leashed).  Lovely sweet peas growing up a trellis outside one of the shops.  I can't remember the cat's name, probably Ro...
