Just a Mish-Mash of Things

I've been having a wonderful morning at the office, with just we three women here. Oh, the freedom to talk about whatever we wish! LOL. I know I've stated it before, but I feel especially blessed (in the universal, spiritual sense) to have two such amazing and supportive co-workers.

Nikko wasn't hanging around my step this morning, though the food dish was empty and the water bowl partially depleted. Of course, there are other neighbourhood kitties that roam at will, so I don't know who ate and drank. No matter, as long as they are taken care of. I need to buy kibble for them, as I refilled the bowl with the last of what I had on hand. (My cats are well-stocked on food, however.)

Mom goes in for cataract surgery on her eye tomorrow morning. Sorry,  Mom, but I can't remember if it's the right or left. Left, I think. She had the other one done a number of weeks ago. Good  luck! I'm sending lots of healing Light!

Dad still is in Italy (Bergamo), visiting his brother and brother's wife. He and Uncle Peter made the trip to Germany for a week, touring around together and visiting their home towns. They hadn't been back to Germany together since they left as children, after WWII. Apparently Dad has about 600 photos just from the Germany portion of the trip, and I can't wait to see them. Dad flies back to Vancouver on May 6th, after an entire month abroad. What a fabulous trip!

No trips on my horizon, unless you count trips to PetSmart, Pet Valu, Global Pet Foods....LOL. Which reminds me, I have a PetSmart coupon, spend $30 and get $10 off, to be used by May 2nd. I really think the furry gang need a new toy. The timing is perfect, as payday is the 30th. :-)

Oh, gee, the pipe dripped this morning! No drips for the past several days, and I was expecting drips yesterday, because it was so cold out. But zilch. This morning it was about 5C and sure enough, when I was running the water in the kitchen sink, the basement pipe was dripping. Drip, drip, drip. Go figure. Nothing when I ran the water in the tub, though, as I made a mad dash downstairs to check. So it is related to the kitchen drain, somehow. I give up. It's totally bizarre.

Anyway, this is enough rambling. I need to get back to work, so I'll just leave you with an evening sky snapshot from the night before last. Snapped through the glass of the guest room window, because the neighbours were sitting outside on the deck and I didn't feel like hanging out the window in my jammies. (My unit adjoins hers on that guest room side.)

Hi

Oh please add me and Charlie's healing purrs that we are sending en masse to your mum!!!

And it's great that your dad is due home soon - all those pics - 600! That's just brilliant.

I'd love a petsmart voucher!!! That's so value!! And I do like shopping for cats. I always pick the wrong toys tho.. ones that the cats would stare at, poke at and then walk away and never touch again.

:-)

Oh your pipe!! So it's now the kitchen drainage thing? This is like some kind of Sherlock Holmes mystery - what does Mr Spock like to quote: "when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth"

Er... hope that helps with your drippy pipe!

Moving swiftly on..

Oh the lovely Nikko - he's s sweetheart! I'm just glad you're there to look out for him!

Oooh the sunset shot looks ominous!

Speaking of neighbours seeing one in one's jammies - I made the mistake once of taking the rubbish out very early in the morning. I thought no-one should be about it's too early and stepped out of my front door in my nightshirt.

At the same time my lovely neighbour (who gave me that litter tray) was walking towards her car.

And of course she had to stop for a chat! LOL!

Take care
:-)

How marvelous for your Dad! If it were me, I'd have many more photos than 600! Just saying.

Wishing your Mom an uneventful procedure!

like hearing about you... Positive work is important (we have to do so much of it, afterall). You sound kind, looking after roaming kits. Hope all goes well with your family and you. Helen
