It'll be okay, right?

For some reason, I feel more wound up and stressed about Annie today than ever, in spite of the dried-out clump she made this morning.

Maybe it's because she's been hiding out in the basement in her cube again, last evening and this morning.

Maybe it's just because I'm so over-tired and over-stressed and just plain stretched to the max. Would that I had a naturally calm, roll with the punches personality, rather than this nervous, easily upset one.

And maybe I should make an effort to get out of the house this weekend and do something for my self. Not cat-related. I actually haven't been to a movie in years, but have heard only good things about "The King's Speech." Perhaps, if I'm in the mood, I'll go on Saturday afternoon. Unless I'm having another crisis because Annie's taken a turn for the worse. Which, of course, is possible. But I hope not probable.

It's all good, right?

It'll be okay, right?

Yes, my friend, it WILL be OK.

You are stressed terribly and most of us understand that having been in similar bad spots in our lives with our little ones. I am still rocked by the Admiral and watch her like a hawk and hold my breath in a manner of speaking when she is supposed to eat. She has had a week since her last pill now and she's still eating thank heavens.

You and I can try and should try to take one day at a time and NOT anticipate bad things. Annie and everyone feels that tension and certainly you so as well.

What is that corny old saying? It's true..just breathe, my friend. Close your eyes, sit in the light from the window, unclench your hands and unfurrow your brow, and let go.

Oh I do hope that you treat yourself and go see "The King's Speech". It will do you a world of good. Just keep believing that Annie is now on the mend and yet she still feels a bit out of sorts. I know it's not easy to be accepting, I have to make myself remain calm when Abby acts out of her normal routine, but just give her a little bit of time, she'll be back to her normal self.

Kim, it is understandable that you are still stressed to the max. My lord, look what you've been going through! It just doesn't evaporate overnight. The same goes for Annie. She went through so much trauma that she is keeping herself safe for the moment and healing quietly. She WILL come around when she's ready and knows she's safe again. Don't worry. This is all natural. She is not going to hold this against you forever - maybe the vet, but not you. Think about the times you have been so upset (not Annie things, other things) and just wanted to crawl off into a quiet place. Same for Annie. And just as you became ok again, so will she. Rejoice in that clump, make plans for the weekend, do something fun. Look Annie straight in the eyes and softly but firmly say, "I love you, Annie". Kim, I promise you she will hear and understand that.
Sending you MEGA hugs from Lucy, Sam, and ME.
XOXOXO

Big hugs to you and amazing Annie!! You have both been through so much!!!! I think maybe sweet Annie is just recuperating from being away from you all for such a long time and I think you've been through such trauma!!! Your both emotionally wounded and need time to heal. Annie is doing ever so well!!!!! She pooped fine. She will do so again - but maybe not immediately as maybe she needs time for her poor belly to settle down.

I hope you get to see the King's Speech! I was so on the verge of going to see this myself - I meant to this week but my teeth falling out put a stop to all that!! LOL!!. I hope you give yourself permission to be pampered! :-) It's been just awful for you too so it's time you did something soothing for yourself!

Have some more hugs! <<<<<>>>>> !!!!

Take care

Everything will be OK. Miss Annie was a pretty sick gal and it will take a bit for her to get back to her sassy self.
By all means do something for yourself this weekend! I'd be pleased to have you over to paint a wall and various sundry chores...oh, right, you need to do something enjoyable! The Kings Speech does sound like a great film, and the costuming is bound to be fabulous; a visual feast.

Everything will be OK Kim. I know you and your vet are doing everything and trying everything possible.

Banjo had such horrible bowl problems (chronic constipation) and suffered for such a long time until finally our vet discovered a new food:

Now he is like a new kitty!

So there is always hope!

Warm hugs!
