Amazing How A Day and a Half Can Feel Like a Full Week
Crazy at work, trying to wrap up this rankings survey. Done, it's finally done, done, done!
But is it only Tuesday, 1PM? God's teeth, it feels like it should be Friday. Feels like I've put a full week's work in, in just a day and a half. My boss's word for the project? "Ugly." And that was bang-on.
In other stuff, welcome to the new followers! Beats me how you found this blog, and uh, you do know this is musings on a small life, right? Nothing exciting, no travels, nothing deeply philosophical. Okay, sometimes philosophical. But trust me, nothing grand or even particularly interesting to be found here. I won't weep and wail and gnash my teeth if you un-follow. :-)
Mr. Handyman came by to put the second coat of mud on yesterday, will be by again later this afternoon. I hemmed and hawed yesterday about another hole in the kitchen ceiling, to look for the ever-elusive leak, but after my shower last night I could hear a slow, intermittent drip...drip...drip. I think part of the problem was the bathtub caulking, now fixed, but I also think there is a small hole or perhaps a broken seal on a pipe. And even if he can't find anything, I just won't rest easy until he has a look at another spot. Maybe early tomorrow afternoon for that--I told him I didn't want it done this afternoon, when I was tired and he was tired. By the time I get home I just want to peel out of my work clothes and don something comfier, grab a beer or whatever (if there's anything alcoholic) and chill with the boys, maybe snap a few pics of them being silly. I don't want to stand around while the kitchen ceiling is cut out. He probably won't be more than a half-hour today, for the sanding and third coats of mud.
As for pics for the day...I don't have any from this year. The daffodils are up, though, and on the way to work I saw some almost in bloom. Yippee! I do have my little Canon PowerShot with me, though, and if I walk home today I'll keep my eye out, maybe get a snapshot or two.
However, I'll leave you with a few floral shots from April 12 last year, on my way home. Apologies to those of you who would have seen them in 2010, but if you're like me, you probably don't remember anyway! :-D

Glad to hear your project at work is complete! That is a big load off your shoulders no doubt.
The flowers are so pretty, even a second look!
Hope that the source of that drip is found. Unfortunately it's not something that can be left for later.

Good luck finding the drip.
