Belated Happy Summer Solstice!

I was out at 5AM today with the camera, waiting for the Solstice sunrise. Thirty-five minutes later, I had a slew of shots, most of which I deleted. These four snaps are the only ones I kept:

We did go to Upper Canada Village yesterday, but I'm still working on editing the pics for size, contrast, etc. I took 373 or so, kept about 250 to 270-ish, can't recall off the top of my head. Have edited only 118, so still have many more to go. I won't be posting them, I promise. But I might end up putting them in a separate album and putting a slideshow in.

In any case, an 1860s Canadian village isn't quite as a exciting at the pics my uncle (who lives in Bergamo, Italy) just sent me of the latest tour he and his wife took.

Today Dad and I did go back to Prince Edward County (I've been every year for so many years that frankly I've lost my enthusiasm for it). However, it was nicer than I had anticipated, and we had a lovely lunch at the Waupoos Cider Company, the first time I've eaten there. Usually we eat at Inn on the Mountain.

Now we're due for a few days of rain (which we really need), so I think the rest of Dad's trip will be the "chores" and puttering around town.

I hope everyone's week is going well so far! Happy Summer to those in the northern hemisphere!

My turn, wasn't sure I could haul my bulk up there. LOL.

Oh it's a place where you get to dress up as pioneers and go about looking like characters from Little House on the Prairee!! Oh it's LOVELY!! Awwwww!!! It's adorable!!! Of course you must post the shots you got! :-) Did the villagers also speak in ye olde canadian too? Yay!!

Look at you and your dad! LOL!

Yay that you had a really pleasant time over at Prince Edward County!

Have a happy rest of the day pottering and taking things easy! Your sunrise shots are just stunning - you saved the best ones to show here! HAPPY SUMMER SOLSTICE!!!

Take care
