Uh Oh - That Was Too Quick!
I got home this aft to find a message from my doctor's office, asking me to call to book a follow-up appointment. So much for the five to seven day wait time when all is normal. LOL.
So I called, heart in mouth, and the young woman with whom I've been dealing told me the note from the radiologist said to book an appointment, but that it wasn't urgent.
That means the scan did find something, but presumably it's not life-threatening. (Thanks, Trish, for the reassurance!)
I have to say, I'm really glad I had the internal ultrasound done too, as it wasn't indicated by my doctor's office. It was the tech who suggested it, since I was there and undressed anyway. :-)
The next available appointment was for Wednesday at 11:30AM, so I took that. Too bad it wasn't Monday.
If it's a "simple" cyst, presumably they'll have me wait six weeks, then send me for another ultrasound. Or perhaps suggest its removal. I'll find out when I talk with the doctor. I will take the words "not urgent" at face value, as Trish suggested. (And thanks to mom, too, for assuring me that "not urgent" means "non-life threatening.)
BTW, from reading one comprehensive site on ovarian cysts, I've discovered that there is a correlation between them and hypothyroidism or hormonal imbalance. That would fit perfectly, if indeed it is a cyst and not something else that was found.
Anyway, for a complete topic change: I just saw an inspirational news piece about a legally blind female photographer in Winnipeg. She won a national contest sponsored by the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) and the report featured her during a work day, photographing haute cuisine. You should have been her photos. I have two good eyes (knock on wood) and wouldn't be able to get shots like that to save my soul. Amazing. (I understood she had been a photographer before glaucoma took most of her sight, though.)
The best I can do today are a few sheep snapshots from a quick run out to Lemoine Point at lunch time with my co-worker. She went running and I got distracted from walking any distance by the two small lambs. LOL. I had only the little Canon Elph, though, so couldn't get close-up shots.
Mom has a very full udder. LOL. She wouldn't turn around, so that was the best I could do.
Hi cutie!
Have a great evening, everyone. Stay cool if you're in the heat zone!

I have a giant fibroid which sits on my uterus (I have had MANY intra vaginal ultrasounds, or whatever they are called), the fibroid is the size of a softball...it is STILL there and that is where it is going to stay. The doctor doesn't want to do anything with it.
Also, my doctor schedules follow ups rather quickly because he will no longer give results over the phone. That is probably exactly what your doctor is doing, just merely giving you results.
I did have an imbalanced thyroid 2 years ago. I was on meds for a year and as of now it is fine and the fibroid is STILL there in all of it's glory.
Think positive!
Will keep you in my prayers.

How amazing that someone can take beautiful photos when they are legally blind!
Try not to worry (easier said then done) and have a terrific weekend!

The kitties and I think the retail therapy at Value Village would be completely in order after your week! Definately :-)
The font you asked about is "Jokerman". I think it came with either a font or a scrapbook program I got. But, I'm sure if you do a free-font search for it, you can find it. I'm glad you like it, it's one of my favorites.
Stay cool! Enjoy the campouts! And now, maybe, you can do some "not urgent" relaxing. :-)
Enjoy your weekend.
Your pics are just lovely - baby lambs are the best - they're gorgeous!!!! I pass by a field of them while on the train and they are just too cute for words!!! Now that same farm has baby cowlings! Awwwww!
I like that story about the photographer! Inspirational and hopeful! Take care x
