It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like...Winter

Absolutely pouring rain this AM when I left for work, quickly turned to snow. Snow, snow, wind, snow, wind, wind, and more snow.

Waiting for the bus after work; the bus I wanted was running about 15 or so minutes late.
Looks tamer than it was, I assure you.
BTW, you ever have those mornings where you stand in front of your closet, feeling like a gross blob, and can't even seem to find a simple long-sleeved top, cardigan and pair of jeans that you feel good in? That might have been partly why I was running a half hour late today. The other reason might have been trying to clean up the mess that the broken garbage bag, filled with litter, caused. (It wasn't a big hole in the bag, but it's amazing how quickly litter can pour out of even a small tear.)

You ever have days when you fall asleep under your desk?

Yeah, I had another one. Curled up this afternoon for about 15 minutes. Or so. Was dreaming. Crawled out and wondered if I had pillow marks on my cheek (yeah, I have a pillow and little knit throw at the office), asked my boss if he'd mind if I left early, told him why. He burst out laughing, said "Been there," because he's fallen asleep, head on his desk, so many times.

I am so lucky to have such a terrific boss and I don't take it for granted, believe me.

And even with the transit delays, I still made it home an hour and a half earlier than normal.

Yeah, it definitely looks like winter in southeastern Ontario now. Yippee. (Sarcasm)
We're bracing for -20C (-4F) overnight, with a high tomorrow around -14C (7F). I'm not sure I have enough layers to bundle up in to do my errands. LOL.

I'm wishing you all a warm and cosy, snow-free weekend.  :-)

Universal Blessings, Light and Mercy to All Beings.

Wow,it comes with a vengeance doesn't it? Glad your boss let you out early. I was just deleting out some blogs that never post anymore (at least I hope I was) and I was amazed at the number that have dropped off.

Stay safe this weekend.

about "feeling like a fat blob" welcome to MY world! lol.
You aren't far from us and you sure got more snow than we did. I we did get the awful rain (last night) and winds (today)...years and years ago I used to have to take 3 buses and a train to work (sound like our parents don't I? lol) so I do NOT envy you going through that in the winter!
Stay snuggly warm this weekend!

Yikes!!! It's Christmas all over! Oh dear! I'm liking the idea of having a crawl space/sleeping area under one's desk at work...!! Sometimes all I need is a "power nap" at work and I'm all spry again but there's nowhere to do this!!

Hoorah for your nice boss! Glad you got home ok!! Oh it looks SO COLD!! Brrrrrr!! I say go for the Mrs Michelen look!! Get them layers on!!

Keep warm and stay safe!!

p.s. I don't know if you saw the latest post at Four Crazy Cats? Suzi's trip to Japan? She got to this place where they have salt mixture packets in machines on the roads and pavements and ANYONE can help themselves to these - so if they think the pavements are getting too slippy, people can just grab a salt bag and sprinkle away! I thought that was such a great idea! I think it's free too, I think!

Take care

You know how I feel about snow...but prolly not as much as you do right now! ICK. Make sure you wear plenty of layers; that way if you slip you bruise less, LOL.
Say, no fair on Fuzzy Tails! I wanted to comment on Derry bottlebrush.

Wow, that is cold!! We so rarely get that cold here in the Pacific Northwest.

How old are those buildings on campus in the first few pictures?

I hate it when the trash bag with litter springs a leak and goes everywhere! It usually happens when I have no time and am trying to run out the door.

Yep, yesterday was a real Friday the 13th here too. About 20cm of snow overnight so half an hour shifting it to get the car out. And then it was windy so snow was blowing everywhere. Work was surprisingly stressful, and I was very glad to get home to the felines. Overnight now the temp dropped: we're still only at -10'C though. And today the sky is clear and if I go for a walk I should actually get to see the sun!
I hope when you wake up there's lots of refreshing light to recharge you !

it is beautiful though! and last winter (and the one before that) was pure hell with snow for some six months, so i'm going to be kind (i hope) to any snow that might fall like this;)

there is a bit of white on the ground here since a week back or so, then it rains, melts and then it freezes and everything gets icy. i think i hate that the most, the ice, the slippery ice.

of course the electrical bills have been very reasonable these past months. that i like:) but other than that, this mild winter, it's just bizarre and frightening to me.
