He couldn't leave it be, he just *had* to ask. Arggh.

I hate it when people can't take hints, thus putting me in a position of actually having to deal with things.

That bus stop fellow (he's off today) just emailed me to ask if I wanted to get together to do something, blah, blah.

My answer to that was a resounding no, though of course I couldn't put it that way. So here's what I wrote--I think it was tactful enough.
I can imagine that was tough, it's always tough to step out of one's comfort zone.
I appreciate the offer, but I think my former neighbour was definitely more your "style."  :-)
Frankly I'm at a point in my life now where I don't want any kind of entanglements. I enjoy the company of gay male friends because there aren't male/female "issues," and I enjoy the company of my female friends. But I really do avoid straight male relationships, even casual ones, and have done so for a long time now -- please be assured that it's not personal at all, you're not the first to ask.
I hope you're having a great day off, and if I don't chat with you tomorrow because I'm walking or running  late, have a terrific weekend.
Apparently, some people are not able to pick up on the "walls" I have up. But even if I didn't have walls up, my answer still would have been no, because there's not one iota of chemistry on any level--mental, physical or emotional. So what would be the point? ::Shudder::

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day...We're crawling toward Friday this week. LOL.

Well done on the response. You are very polite -I would have been ruder and not thought about the fact that I might have to see him again.

He should get the message!

Roll on the weekend - it's felt like a long week.

It was nice of him to ask though.

I think if I were single, which I am sort of, I wouldn't ever seek another guy. Been there .. so not doing that again.

If I had a lot of money, I'd pay some nice guy to just be my friend to go places with and do things around the house.

Oh, I can pay someone for that too can't I ... so, no ... no dates ever again for me.

Enjoy your almost weekend,

JC and Jasmine

Had to smile at JC's comment.

I'd pay someone to cook for me. Or pay a catering service to provide my lunches and suppers. :-)

Well, I was so polite that I've emailed back and forth a couple of times with him, finally said I have to get some real work done. LOL.

Of course, now I'll have to walk the 2kms to the shopping centre to pick up a bus in the mornings, or go in a half hour later. Ha!
