The day is young, I have lots of time to screw something up

I said that to a departmental contact early this morning, as I was checking on something. She replied that she felt the same way. Ah, so nice not to be alone in that regard. LOL.

At least what I'm currently doing, I'm doing right.

My boss is home, btw. He emailed us yesterday. He's not sure when he'll be back to work, certainly not this week. He said it depends on what further indignities he's subjected to when he goes back to his specialist for a check later this week or next. And his sage advice: If you have troubling symptoms, get to your doctor ASAP.

Now I'd like to take a moment to commend Nicki on his prowess in hunting Mr. Green Squeaky Mouse at 1:40AM, and for bringing said "prey" into the bedroom to chase, before "killing" it. Indeed, he is a mighty hunter, and both Derry and I were very impressed.

Still cat-related: I found the absolute best litter I've ever tried in my eleven years of being a servant to cats. It's Canadian, actually, got it at PetValu.

It's touted as being so odour-absorbent (but scent-free, as far as I know--remember I can't smell) that you have to scoop only once a week, if you have one cat. Eeeew, gross -- that's not good for any cat. I just wanted a fine-grained clumping litter that was scent-free and dust-free. And when this says it's dust-free, it means it's dust-free. I'm not kidding. I've been using Maxx Scoop's so-called 99% dust-free clumping litter for years, and it's far from dust-free. This is dust-free. This is pour it in the box with no cloud, this is swirl the litter around with your hands and have nothing on your fingers, no dust adhering to the sides of the litter box. This stuff is amazing.

And do the boys think this stuff is amazing, too? Well, I have one litter box in the basement with the Maxx Scoop and one with the new litter. Ditto upstairs in a spare room. Both seem to prefer the Odour Buster litter, perhaps because it's not scented. Or maybe just because it's fresher. In any case, as long as they continue to use it, this will be the litter I buy. 15 kgs seems comparable in price to the 14 kg containers of Maxx Scoop, so cost isn't an issue.

I can't believe it, a Canadian cat product that's terrific. LOL.

Anyway, I hope your day has been amazing in some way, and if not amazing, at least I hope it's not been a royal screw-up.
