*Still* waiting to hear from my own vet re: Zylkene
I called yesterday regarding the Zylkene, then called again today to ask if the order was placed, but it hasn't been yet. The woman at the front desk had left a note for Derry's vet, and I've not heard back from him. If he balks, Derry will have to go to the other clinic to be examined, to get the product.
In any case, I've scanned in the the two most recent blood work results, as well as last fall's and Tuesday's urine analyses. "Erased" the vet's name and clinic info from the top of each page via PhotoShop Elements and printed them out. Along with a half-page note on things I want/don't want (for any new vet), such as no Metacam, no Convenia, no antibiotics unless proven warranted for a bacterial infection, preferably no further vaccines, no corn/soy/wheat in the food, etc. As well as end-of-life instructions, how I would want that handled. Just so any new vet is clear on my wishes. Then they can decide if I'm worth taking on. LOL.
As for non-cat trivial matters, I finally got around to bundling my services through our cable company. Already use them for TV (basic analogue cable) and internet, of course. But for the same money I'm paying now, actually $7 less per month, I can get digital local phone service with call display (I have an answering machine and use a long distance calling card), upgrade my TV to digital high-def with many extra channels and keep the same internet package. Installation (no charge) will be on Wednesday May 2nd. The down side is that I have to hang around the house all day, waiting for the guy to show up. And why is it never a woman, anyway?
The other down side is that I'll be dinged huge charges in May because of the billing cut-off dates and my current phone company's 30-day notice rule. But after that it should be okay.
I haven't had channels like A&E and Discovery in many years, 10 or 11, so that might be nice again.
I haven't any exciting plans for the weekend; I hope one of you does! Frankly, I'm hoping for a calm, healthy, normal weekend. LOL. Probably will take a run out to PetSmart to check on a couple of items...What else would I do but look for stuff for the boys? :-)
Happy Friday and happy weekend, everyone.
P.S. Today's tulip pics are the bouquet I bought for myself at Costco last Saturday morning.

Oooh your bundle deal sounds good!
How long will you give your current vets? And have you sent your application to the other one? Fingers crossed you get the Zylkene from whichever vet!
My weekend is going to be wet and windy! Enjoy your weekend! Take care

Have a great weekend.

Love the tulips photos. There's a festival about four hours away from me where there are tons of tulips and daffodils. I keep saying I'm going to go up there and walk and have coffee.
The new vet might be worth it. I'm going to a new one next week.
your tulip photos are lovely. I am thinking about getting cable tv this year, as I just have poor peoples tv with four channels of rubbish.
Hope the new vet works out, doesn't sound like too much to ask. Kiwi vets are all down to earth, and not so keen on prescribing drugs to cats and dogs.
So my treats for the weekend, a big bag of fresh fruit and veg from the market, a walk to the supermarket to get a chicken for dinner, a good DVD to watch and I might bake a cake!!
Have a good one.

Eagerly awaiting the next chapter in the saga. Sounds like the boys might be getting a new vet.
