That was NOT a good idea

It was NOT a good idea to eat a Cadbury Easter egg yesterday afternoon, plus an Aero dark chocolate bar, then go home and have a frozen "probiotic" yogurt bar (covered in chocolate), and top it off later with a glass of white wine with my (healthy) fish and veggie supper.

I've had three Excedrin Migraine tablets in the span of three hours this morning (courtesy of someone who works on this floor--she had picked some up while shopping in the U.S., as it's not available in Canada) and half a Gravol (anti-nausea tablet).

I'd like to blame it all on hormones, but in fact I'm just a pig with a terrible sugar addiction.

Alas, it's misery of the self-inflicted kind.

Please at least let me be an example of what not to eat, how not to treat your body. LOL.

I'll leave you with a couple of pretty floral snapshots, though. I took these yesterday--someone here has them on her desk.

Was it a regular Cadbury egg? I love those. However, I have a 5 pack and haven't eaten a single one (yet). I know only of 2 or 3 people who like the "original" Cadbury eggs.
I hope you have a speedy sugar-binge recovery! ((hugs))

Nope, a caramel egg.

Really like the 70% cocoa Aero bars, though. LOL.

Starting--just starting--to feel more human now.

Bad, bad Kim!

Awww Kim, are you ok now? Migraine gone!?!? Oh I am so sorry! I have a friend who seriously gave up sugar (in all forms from natural sugars from fruit to even things like honey) for coming to three months now. I'd like to say it was doing him some good... I'd like to but every time I see him I think. Hmmm!.

No, no, good Kim! Good Kim! Take care

Not Bad Kim, Smarter Kim. I've gone through all the Girl Scout cookies, and the chocolate chip cookies I made a couple weeks ago. The desire for sugar has been abated, thank cod, for now, and I feel more human. I also lost three of the four pounds I gained. Next binge in a couple or three weeks. I truly believe my brain doesn't know the uterus has been gone for 20 years, and I go through sugar cravings every month. Not fair, cravings AND flashes!

Hope you are feeling better!
I understand the feeling about sugar.
I had to give it up.
I haven't had any white sugar since 2006. Always a struggle with weight. Now that I am a normal weight I have to work out to keep it off. *sigh* I am not crazy about working out either. But I do it. I hope it helps me in about 20 years! : )

I hope you feel better now Kim. Luckily I don't get migraines at all, so have got my Lindt choc bunny and marshmallow Easter eggs ready for the weekend.

Next year though, I'm going to give up choc for Lent, so I enjoy it more at Easter.

Enjoy your days off.
