That "flea" makes life a living hell

Was it only last week that I was enjoying peace and quiet, with the neighbours away? Seems like months ago now.

Living next door to the boy flea is hell, have I mentioned that?

Even more hellish for the mother, who was sitting outside yesterday evening, crying. I didn't realize she was in tears out there, had taken my knitting out and sat down. I knew she was out on their deck because I saw her, and she looked rather worn out and dejected I might add. But I didn't realize she was having a melt-down until after I had gotten comfy and started knitting. So I felt badly for being a witness, but didn't want to (possibly) make her feel worse by getting up and going back inside. I figured she'd realize I knew she was upset. She stayed out for a bit, then gathered the toys up and went back inside. Poor woman probably has no where to escape and I only made it worse, though not intentionally.

Today the boy has been screaming his blankity-blank head off, off and on, all day. At both parents, though the mother bears the brunt of it. The father routinely takes off somewhere on weekends and leaves her to deal with things (she doesn't drive, can't escape). He did take the child out for a couple of hours this afternoon, gave us all a break. (Including the neighbours on the other side of their unit.) Of course, the kid had two more tantrums/fits after he got home.

I wonder if there are any military boot camps in our area for problem children. Because I don't care what the supposed diagnosis is (and I question that of "autism"), that kids needs discipline and tough love, and to have his ass walloped, repeatedly, period. He has no respect for either parent, and let me tell you, if the parents ever divorce while the kids still are young, I hope he doesn't live with his mother. He'd absolutely destroy her.

I tell you all truly, if I had the means to move and could take on a higher mortgage, I would be house-hunting.

Anyway, to end on a cheerier note, most of the annuals I potted on Friday are starting to bloom. Pic snapped this weekend and edited in PicMonkey for the focal soften and the frame.

Here's to a quieter, calmer holiday Monday. Please gods, let it be so.

Universal Blessings, Light and Mercy to All Beings.

I hope hope hope the mum is getting some kind of professional help from the school/social workers/someone able to help her with coping strategies. Oh dear. I do feel very sorry for her. She shouldn't feel she's alone with this situation really.

Oh the weather is predicted to be nice and warm and sunny for this week! I can't wait, seriously can't wait!!

Yay for your annuals blooming! Take care
