The Best Olympic Broadcasters

The best Olympic broadcasters, hands down, are "Jim and Bob," who are being channeled by the human behind Housecat Confidential.

Because not only are the human Olympics on now, the Pet Blogging Olympics are too!

Jim and Bob were the best, the wittiest commentators in cyber-space for the Cat Olympics in winter 2010, and no doubt will outdo themselves for the summer games. I only wish they could do the human Olympics too, as they really are far more entertaining than any of the "real" human broadcasters I've heard so far.  :-)

And on the subject of the Olympics, of course I watched the opening ceremonies. And just about flipped out in that taped sequence with Daniel Craig and the Queen! OMC, he's so gorgeous. And that was the Queen! I know she doesn't touch her "subjects," but in her shoes, elderly or not, I'd have wanted to put my hands on him. All over him.

I was so stunned, I had to email Old Kitty just to verify it was the real Queen, not a stunt double. Because she sure looked like the real deal to me, but I don't perceive that generation of royalty as anything but stodgy. Her PR/spin staff scored big time with this one.

Plus...That was Daniel Craig! LOL.

Anyway, I have nothing exciting on for the weekend, other than watching as many of the events as possible, and enjoying the Pet Olympics too!  :-)

That bit made me smile as well. Not sure about the rest of the ceremony. It looked pretty, but there was a bit too much dancing and prancing around for me.

I am really pleased the Queen participated in that -it shows she does have a sense of humour and, even though she did not actually parachute in from a helicopter, she's a good sport! A lot has changed in thew British royal family in the last 10 years and I even find myself supporting them now.
Personally I found the opening ceremonies a triumph and very moving. The media response has been mainly positive in the UK too, which is a surprise.

Oh Kim!!! If only I could say the same of the BBC commentators during the Opening Ceremony! Oh they spoilt a GREAT EVENING!! I loved it all - all four hours of it!! Oh yes!!!

But Daniel Craig and Her Maj and her Royal Corgis!! BEST EVER!!!!! Totally unexpected! I think I've watched it like a gazillion times now!! And still think it's the best start to the Games!!! Oh Mr Craig is such a Dreamboat, lucky lucky Queenie!!!

Off I go to sneak another peak at him again!

I thought the ceremonies ROCKED! The Brits sure know how to do Theatre.

My time with Daniel Craig would be R-rated, LOL. The Queen was fabulous, she could have had a career in film.

I thoroughly enjoyed the opening ceremony and loved having some levity in it for a change.
I loved Paul McCartney at the end!
