It must be the darkness, right?

I'm falling asleep around 8PM these days, can't even keep my eyes open to keep reading in bed, something I love to do.

And trying to get out of bed between 3:30AM and 4AM is sheer torture.

I really have been slogging this week and last.

Presumably partly because I've been eating way too much sugar, even for me, and my body just feels "blah," and partly, I think, because it's pitch dark out now, with sunrise not until after 7:30AM, well after I'm settled at my cubicle desk at the office. Trust me, it's hard to find the motivation to leave the house at 6AM, when your instincts are to go back to bed!

Even my rowing has been hard, in spite of Monday's intense, but laborious session. Last evening I was as slow and easy as when I first started doing it back in mid-September. I got into a really awesome rhythm, mind you, but I wasn't exactly burning many calories.

Anyone else having difficulty getting up and going these days? Have a body that wants to sleep for a few weeks, at least? I'd hate to feel alone in this. LOL.

A few pics from the other day, snapped while heading back to the office after an errand. I love our campus in fall.
Surprising to see flowers still in bloom.
Almost Friday....

It is hard for me to get up in the morning with it still dark. I wish it were Daylight Savings time already!!!

Your campus is beautiful.
I always love your photos!
I am a slug EVERY DAY so I'm not a good one to answer

I'm sure we were meant to hibernate! I really believe that! I wish I can show you my online calender at work. Everyday it has my initials with the words "running late" or "will be in later" or "coming in at xxtime". Given that I've got a great time-keeping record the rest of the year, I know the onset of darker days and longer nights and my body just wanting to go into a coma is no coincidence!!! Now to prove it to my manager! LOL!

I think the onset of Halloween and Christmas doesn't help. Today the shop was selling buy 3 chocolate apples for the price of 2. THREE!!! I got six! LOL! And am down to my last one. Ahem.

I really think humans are programmed to sleep when it's dark and get up when it's proper light! And I'll vote for whatever party makes that law! :-)

take care
x

Love your buildings. If you have to go to work, not a bad place to go for walk during the warmer months. Fall colors are so nice. Thanks for sharing ...
Lovely campus.

Fall is one of the best times for flowers here so I am really enjoying the wildflower show.
Yes, the buildings are beautiful. I've been sleeping more lately, too. Falling asleep in the recliner about 6:30 after dinner. You are not alone.

Yes, definitely. It seems to be dark all the time now, and it's only October. I'm in bed by 9.30 at latests and struggle up at 6.30. because of the studying I m trying to get an extra hour of awake time a day and it's not working. And I'm hitting junk food - not good at all...... You are definitely not alone :)

hey there cuz...I am sure it is the season!Even tho we don't change our clocks here - I was sure that last weekend the clocks must have flipped back. Take heart - since we are much further north than you guys - we get darker much earlier & it lightens up much later. I for one am sure that we are supposed to hibernate at this time year!

Everyone enjoy the chocolate and sweets for me - please.. :)
