Yesterday and Today? Mere One Glass Days!
I'm still trying to wrap up the one big project due at the end of the week. I've got most of it done, and it's with my boss now, waiting for his review, corrections, edits, etc. So if it's not done by Friday, at least I won't be the hold-up.
So yesterday was a mere one-glass (of wine) day, and I think today will be about the same.
It's an improvement!
Oh, by the way, I had my gas and water meters replaced a week ago, by random selection (definitely not by my choice).
When I was doing laundry in the basement on Saturday, I noticed a small pool of water accumulating below the pipes of the water meter. Hey, great job, huh? The guys came back early this morning to fix whatever it is they did wrong the first time--the younger of the two was the same, but the older man wasn't. Probably a good thing, I hope he has more job experience and that the leak is resolved.
Purrs from the boys and peace from me.
Oh, which reminds me: Derry and Nicki had another chair tussle this morning, only this time Derry managed to roust Nicki from the coveted spot. Then Derry got all full of himself and silly, so much so that he made me giggle. Both boys looked at me strangely, and Nicki even came up the step to the patio door, to make sure I was all right, I presume.
What a sad commentary, that my laughter is such a strange sound to them!

This morning was a full bottle day for me. I settled for 1/2 a Xanax.
Glad that it is hump day and the week is almost over.
I don't know whether I thanked you for your comments about Bear-Bear. He did indeed have high T4 numbers, so he was hyperthyroidic even if he didn't have the condition. They have corrected themselves, though of course we're keeping an eye on them. He had been to the vet just before coming to my house, so he was checked for worms. We think it may have been stress lowering his weight. He doesn't show it, but he may have been feeling it. He's been eating more recently, so we'll check his weight again soon.
