You're Being a Pest!

That would be Mr. Derry-Bear this morning, and as I was picking him up and giving him a cuddle for the umpteenth time, while trying to cook breakfast, do dishes, get ready for work, etc., I thought, I'm so happy he's being a pest! LOL.

He sneezed green once on Sunday, and once yesterday when I got home from work, and I called the vet clinic to find out when his vet would be in today, thinking he'd need antibiotics for sure.

Then last night, after Nicki and I had gone to bed and I was drifting off, Derry joined us and started a tussle with Nicki, on the bed, as they often will do. A vigorous, chase-off-the-bed-and-race-downstairs tussle.

And this morning he was out and in, out and in, out and in (minus 24 Celsius windchill), no sneezing yet, nothing untoward, just being his normal adorable but pesty self.  :-)

So I'll just wait and see, since he obviously was feeling just fine. Fingers crossed. Toes crossed. Maybe even eyes crossed for good luck. Ha.

From Sunday
Oh, and guess what I saw this morning, walking to the Centre to catch the express bus? (Regular bus was a no-show in my area, must have broken down.)

Yes, a robin! Alive! I stood under the tree and looked and looked and looked, and there was an orange-red breast. The poor thing will starve to death, there's NO bare ground, nothing for it to eat. Beats me why it's here now, but it was a nice harbinger of Spring to come.

Today's scanned in calendar page...seems crooked. Either that or it's my eyes.
Tomorrow's the duct-cleaning...Someone please send some good vibes that it gets done without undue stress on the cats.  :-)

Peace.

Hurrah for Derry's pestilence! Well, that doesn't sound right. But I think you know what I mean. Don't you love it when they start acting normal again after an illness. What a great sign. A tussle and a chase with Nicki. Good news to start my day with.

And I wouldn't worry about the robin. He'll find food. If he's showing up there, then food is to be found somewhere. Spring is on its way!

You're right you know. It's great to have him be a "pest". That is exactly what you want. I am so glad to hear that. It is definitely great news.

xoxoxo
Great to hear that the boys are back to their regular tussling. Hopefully sneezing out those green snot marks the end of Derry's flu. Keep being a pest, Derry-Bear! ;)

Sending good vibes for the duct cleaning to go smoothly and quickly.
Good vibes that the duct cleaning goes smoothly and doesn't upset the cats.
so glad the boys are doing better! Hate to be the bearer of bad news...but...I saw a robin back after one of our blizzards in January...was shocked, until I looked them up online and found out that some actually DO tough out the winters up North. They are used to it.

Terrific news! Funny how when they are healthy the constant need for attention is annoying to us, but as soon they are sick we're wishing the behavior back.

Oh, I so hope your robin knows what he is doing! Spring can't come soon enough for me. Another 10 cms. of snow forecast for here tomorrow. :(

I hope the duct cleaning went well. I also hope that Derry is no longer sneezing. (Saline drops help make the sneezing productive, and are non-invasive as well as non-addictive.) I hope things settle down soon for you.

Hooray for robins, pest-iness, and tussling. :) We have our paws and fingers crossed that things continue on this upward trend!
