If Nicki and Derry could talk

I think this is what they might ask me!

I think I'd have to say it was some years back, when they first started refusing to let me sleep past 4AM.  :-)

BTW, Derry's chin seems to be back to normal. I stopped feeding him from the porcelain (?) plates I had purchased at WalMart and now, several days later, things appear to have cleared up (or almost cleared up). Okay, only glass plates from here on in, or perhaps china.  I snapped pics yesterday afternoon, but haven't downloaded them for editing yet.

I'm taking a half day's vacation today, not that I want to use my holiday time like that. But I have a few things to take care of and that old expression, "make hay while the sun shines" comes into play. Plus I'm in my usual hormonally-induced unsettled mood, the mood that makes me want to chuck it all, job and house, take the cats and run away. Because I simply won't survive living like this for another 15 years till retirement.

Fortunately, the mood will pass in a day or so. LOL.

I hope you don't feel like chucking your life today.

Peace.

I hope the half day off gives you some fun or peace or satisfaction. Just hope you feel better. Whenever I am feeling truly low I always think of someone worse off and try to remind myself that I do indeed have it very good. I know that isn't a full proof method but it serves to remind me all things are relative.
I have had moments of wanting to chuck the cats out (into the catio and locking them there) but those moments, thankfully, are fleeting. LOL.

Nah, I already know how lucky I am and am thankful for my many, many blessings. The mood will pass, it always does. And trying to remind myself of how good I have it only serves to make me feel that I'm somehow not permitted to have an "off" day...or life. Not feel off kilter. LOL.

Oh, my...Grizelda and Maggie are too smart to say that! Chloe Jo, well, she is just a baby. Ha.

I know how you feel. I sometimes feel like that. I won't be able to retire, yet some day I will be too old to work, or simply not be able to find it, and that's frightening. I try not to think about that. When I do, that's when life becomes discouraging. But, at least I have the cats to cheer me.

Kim, I think you need a change. If you can't afford the time or money for a short vacation away then perhaps spend some time out by the water. I find sometimes that water is healing and just watching it re-adjusts my priorities and helps me know just what I really want (or need). Can't hurt.
love that cartoon, that is me to a "T!"
Glad Derry's chin is clearing up!
