Annie's 13th adoption day
It seems eons ago now, but today is Annie's 13th adoption day, "gotcha day."
Angel Annie
I wish I had more pics of her to use!
I'm not sad, not weepy, it was so long ago, and this is the fourth summer without her now. That, too, seems like forever.
I just wanted to acknowledge her. I still think of her every day, wish her (and Chumley) a good morning, say goodbye and goodnight to them as appropriate...just in case they're still hanging around. Though I don't think so now. But you never know. :-)
So my beloved heart, my angel-on-earth, my silly Annie Bananie...happy adoption day. I'm very glad you snared me with your too-large eyes in a too-thin face that day at the shelter. I wish we could have had more time together, but I know I'm blessed to have had the years I did.
Peace.

I cannot believe it's been 4 years Kim. I'm also glad that there isn't sadness and you are able to celebrate the happiness you had with her. One day I'll be on the other side of this with you.

Of course, after I wrote the post, and was thinking about her, looking through my "Best of Annie" album, I just so-wished I could stroke her soft fur one more time. ::Sigh::
Hugs to you,
Vicki

I agree, John's words sum up our feelings totally.
P.S. -- Mum says thank you for your comment the other day. She's doing really well on the nutrition and has nearly eliminated sugar...only one teaspoon in coffee each morning, and some very low sugar tea biscuits for those (not daily!) craving emergencies. She's also eliminated sodas...a 50 year addiction!
Since Annie and our Maggie went to the Bridge just weeks apart, somehow I will always make a connection.
Hugs to you, Kim.
Soft hugs, Karla
