A very happy new year to you all

A very happy New Year!

I would wish that 2015 brings only joy, success, prosperity, laughter and good health to us all, but we're old enough to know that it will bring challenges and tears too. I just hope that when we look back on December 31st, the good will have far outweighed the bad.

Layla Morgan Wilde at Cat Wisdom 101 had a fantastic motto for 2014: "Keep it simple. Do less, purr more." I'd like to adopt that motto for myself in 2015, because I'm exhausted--physically, mentally and emotionally. Mostly it's that hamster-wheel-in-the-brain thing I have going on 24/7.

I'm also ready to get rid of my "Fukitol" graphic and my "words of the year", both posted up in my office cubicle. I wouldn't say I've fully accepted the work changes (crazy, because what is, is), but I'm ready to replace those with something more uplifting that I found at SimpleReminders.com:

I'll probably need to read it every day. LOL.

Thank you all so much for your continued support and cyber friendship; peace and blessings to all.

-Kim

It's hard. WE all strive to do better but when things happen it takes what little reserve you have left and shreds it sometimes. I love the Let go and Let God. That is a great observation. Stress does terrible things to us and I don't know what the real answer is because we all have it. So it is wise to be as kind and compassionate as you can be because one cannot see the suffering each person carries in their hearts.
With all that said I hope that 2015 is less stressful and more calm.

Kim, I love your Simple Reminders purchase. It's great and covers just about all of my own philosophies! The only two that I can think of at the moment that aren't on that board are:
"What is... IS... and I can handle it" and "Beyond the gloom of this world lies joy... take joy!"
Happy 2015!

Happy new year to you. The ending of 2014 was rough for many, and I learned of some bad news on my end, too (nothing to do with the cats), so 2015 won't be the best of years for me. But I'm determined to enjoy something in each day, which thanks to my beasts is easier than I would have thought. Except this morning, when Josie threw up on every single step of the staircase down to the basement. Sigh.
