Wrapping things up
I want a button that says "I Survived CUPA 2015."
I'm beyond exhausted, wish I had taken today and tomorrow off, as the other two on our planning "committee" did. Smart women. I'm considering asking for Friday after all, but if I do, it's with the knowledge that school now is out. (The fleas next door with their "charming" mother will be home.)
All in all I think the conference went well. The event service at the Delta was lacking in the details (ran out of water on the tables Monday afternoon, had to ask for salt/pepper and butter for Tuesday's breakfast, ran out of napkins yesterday morning), but the food was good, and there was plenty of it. A few other things that came with our choice of venue, i.e. nothing is perfect. We had a fantastic meeting room, windows on three sides, and I took pics every chance I got.

You'd think all I did was take snapshots of the marina and the ducks. LOL. But I assure you that except for Monday afternoon, when I was manning the registration table, I was attending all the sessions.
I'll leave that link up for a few days, then remove it.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes for Derry. He didn't get much in the way of a celebration, because by the time I got home yesterday I was a zombie, but he did get a nip party:
He also got a two-part tussle session with Nicki, which always happens when there's nip around. :-)
BTW, they both did just fine with the pet sitter. Derry came down to eat his kibble and even let her pet him, though he was stressed enough to have thrown up the kibble on the basement floor later--I found that Monday night, when I got home. But Tuesday he kept his kibble down, though he didn't seem to eat the canned she had put out for him.
I'm just glad it's all over and done with. I'll have to pay the invoices and tie up the admin details, but other than that, we can breathe a sigh of relief.
Take care, everyone. I'll stop by as soon as I can!
Peace.

It sounds like you did a fantastic job at the conference. I'm Glad you are done with it.
I hope things continue to go well with the pet sitter. Derry is making progress.
I hope you are able to take some time off now.
Take care Kim. Robin
It's good to know the boys did well with the sitter, in case you need to go visit your mom and Harry.
Have a great weekend, despite the fleas. :)
A nip party always makes for happy (tussley) kitties!
