I love sweater weather

Today is sweater weather, a welcome relief from the humidity. I had left my patio door open a crack last night (locked the screen, of course) and the temp on the main level had fallen 10 degrees overnight. Whew! It was still stuffy upstairs, but today's open windows should take care of that. Two days of blessed relief, then the forecast is for typical hot and sticky weather again.

Derry was so happy with the cool wind this morning that he zoomed around like mad. He was far more sedate yesterday after work, below.

Derry also caught a giant moth, I think, around 4:30AM. There was one flying around the back space, so neither boy wanted to come in for breakfast, then a short time later I saw Derry crunching something. I didn't look too closely.

Oh, the coyotes across the street, in the acres of abandoned commercial space (now slated for development) were yipping like mad this morning too, just around 4:15AM (before the moth). They must have caught something. They'll all be displaced when that area is razed for more concrete and I only hope they'll find a safe place to go and that they won't be shot (as is the norm in this region, or perhaps Ontario in general). Why is it called "development" anyway, when it's really destroying the earth and her creatures for greedy profit?

I wanted to post this mug -- I found it on an Etsy shop yesterday, indirectly through a coworker who had sent a link to a list of awesome gifts to give an introvert. I want it!  :-)  Far overpriced at $19 USD though, never mind shipping to Canada (if they even do).

There were many other things that were either introvert or cat-related that I loved, that really fit who I am.
You get the idea!

Here's the link to the original article my co-worker sent on introvert gifts:

It's easy to get side-tracked with that, so have fun.  :-)

Peace.

I love sweater weather too but I am afraid we are going to have to wait longer. It is nice now, in the 70s, but we are going to be near 90 by the weekend. Ugh!
Those coyotes would have me scared to death!!
I think your boys and Cody should get together, Cody has been on a bug-killing spree lately, and then he tries to eat them!
Love the mug!!! I just got a cool one recently too, I need to remember to take a photo of it.

I love those items. I also agree with your thoughts here. I have a bond to coyotes. They are survivors. I respect that. Sadly, they are very misunderstood.

I'm odd I know because I love the heat and humidity. We generally only get the heat but this summer and especially this past week has been quite humid. It's been great for my skin and hair and of course I've got a/c at home and work so when I want to get in from the heat I can. Enjoy your sweater weather while it lasts.

Love the mugs too, though I agree they are overpriced. I wonder if you could find another supplier.

We, too, definitely like cooler weather than hot, sticky and humid. Glad you've had a couple of nice days to enjoy. The mug and shirt made us laugh. And nod in agreement, of course. :)

I have been loving this cooler weather too. Actually had to have a blanket on the bed last night.
Derry looks great as usual. What a mighty hunter!
I love all the gifts for the introvert. I saw myself in a number of them!
Have a cool day Kim.

Oh, some of those gifts were either so funny or so fitting! I'm envious of your weather. Enjoy it! Derry looks so cute. I can imagine them both enjoying the cooler temps.

We have coyotes here, too, of course. I suspect the ones there will be shot rather than trapped. But they will have the last laugh in a way: coyotes are one of the few species growing in population and range. I never would have thought of coyotes in southern Ontario.

And I like the sentiments on the gifts; the first one is especially true.
