Charlotte and Dexter

Charlotte and Dexter are my "old" boss's (and his wife's) dogs.

Charlotte, a bichon frise
 Dexter, obviously a chocolate lab
I'm not normally fond of little ankle-biting dogs, but Charlotte is a sweetie. She and Dexter spent hours having us all throw a little ball around the back yard. Dexter wore down after about three hours, but oh, no, not Charlotte. She's like the Energizer Bunny. I kept thinking she was going to have a heart attack, but our boss says she can tear around like that all day.

What a life!

She took a break from time to time, but not for long. I think we all tired of throwing the ball, but she just wouldn't quit. :-)
Some of us had been out to their house before, at Christmas-time, but never during the summer. They've had landscaping done and it's really quite lovely. Plus they live in a quiet, park-like neighbourhood...very nice.

A few floral close-ups

It was an enjoyable get-together, at least better than being at the office, though it went later than I had expected. I'm glad I had booked the pet-sitter!

Anyway, I hope everyone has a good weekend, mine will be just the usual errands/shopping and house work. Oh, and I'd love a nap somewhere along the way, though that probably won't happen. LOL.

Peace.

Lovely dogs! My sister had a chihuahua that would play for hours too.
The back yard looks gorgeous. Such pretty flowers.
I hope you can get a nap in somewhere this weekend Kim.
Take care and see you soon. (maybe in a couple weeks?)

Alas, no nap, but I'll be spending an exciting Saturday night curling up in bed, early, and reading. Which suits me just fine! :-)

Charlotte and Dexter sound great and their yard is lovely. We particularly liked the hibiscus. Love your background.

Cute! We love dogs. Shelties and labs are our favourites. Great pictures of the dogs, and flowers, too.

Charlotte and Dexter seem like very nice dogs. Glad you had a nice time at your old boss' house, Kim! :)
Cute dogs and a lovely garden.
That ball fetching game sounds exhausting =)
I don't think I could keep up with Emily if she wanted to catch the mouse on the wand for that long!
You have had a good experience with the pet sitter?

It looks like it was a fun visit. Some of those little dogs can go on forever. It sure appears that both of them were enjoying themselves.
