So what has brought YOU moments of enjoyment today?

On the heels of grim reality, what has brought or is bringing you enjoyment today?

For me, it's been:

  • Playing with the boys early this morning, while drinking my coffee.
  • Seeing the alignment of Venus, Mars and Jupiter. I'd seen some astronomy "episode" on PBS this morning that discussed it.
  • Catching an Australian mystery series episode at 4:30AM (The Doctor Blake Mysteries). I've seen only a few episodes, but quite enjoy it!
  • My morning "social time"  with the bus regulars. It's come to that. LOL.
  • The gorgeous, gorgeous fall day!
  • The double-chocolate cookie filled with peanut butter...dessert at lunch time.
  • Friday! (Well, except for having the unbalanced neighbours next door all weekend. OMG, did that girl have a MELTDOWN last night. I had my finger ready to hit "send" to the police three times, but each time held off, for various reasons. What miserable lives they must lead.)
  • I snuck (sneaked?) a leftover square from some office meeting. Don't know whose meeting (held yesterday), not ours. They're drying out in the office fridge, along with the cheese and fruit. Someone ought to have put them out at lunch time with a "help yourself" sign on them.
  • Listening to JazzRadio.com all day. Love, love, love that station!
  • I bought a 6/49 ticket, because the Saturday night draw is $64M. I'm buying the fantasy. I'd like anywhere from $2M to $6M, please. Of course, any amount in the several hundreds of dollars and up would be a godsend.
  • A really cute video of a Shih Tzu and her playmate: http://www.mnn.com/family/pets/videos/shih-tzus-favorite-playmate-rat
So the day has been pretty good so far. I'll see what the evening and weekend bring!

I hope the weekend brings you enjoyment!

Peace.

You were up at 4:30 a.m. watching television? OMG...I'd be asleep at my desk by 10. :)

It's been a pretty good day here too. Just heading out to have dinner with friends, the sun is shining (so the cats can be out in the sun room), and I have my ticket for Lotto 649.

Have a wonderful weekend! Hope the neighbours decide to go visit somebody...anybody...

Today it was sleeping in til 8am, finding miss Pops snoozing in the spare room, eating breakfast while watching the Antiques Roadshow, brunch with a bestie, finding Emma Bridgewater Pottery with 30% off, a nice pair of shoes that fit on sale, a good nap, a nice easy dinner and an early night.

What a wonderful post Kim! What brought me joy yesterday? The beautiful Fall day, hanging a load of wash outside, getting some bargain' s grocery shopping, talking with a friend, sweeping up some fallen leaves and loving the smell, watching an episode of Quantum Leap (love Scott Bakula!),seeing Toby and Oreo the cats, and getting a good night's sleep.
I hope it is quiet for you this weekend Kim.

I love this post and your list of enjoyment. Truly, it's taking the time to derive joy from the little things. I am loving the falling leaves and seeing the fall colors emerge. We took a long drive today, and although it's very cool, we spent a good amount of time outside, which was really nice. Coming home to the kitties is always the best! I also have a good book to start on this evening.

Thank you for sharing, Kim! We've had a nice weekend so far. Yesterday, we toured around our area, looking at the autumn leaves, and just enjoying "being." Then, back home to hang out with Moosey, Gracie and Zoe. After a crazy work week for both of us, it was restful, fun and restorative. :)

Hugs!

They sound like good things to me. Writing on a Sunday, some things that I enjoyed were Tucker's glucose numbers (6.99!), way down and lower than the doctor wanted, but the roly poly is acting normal and fine; re-reading some of my books; listening to music; watching Noah shoot around the house like a maniac - and seeing Tucker ready to ambush him. Not a bad day.

I take leftover food in the company frigde, too. I wait until the whole day goes by; everyone has a chance at it, but if it is still there the next morning, it was obviously not wanted enough.

And I didn't win the lottery, either...
