Aftermath

Winter arrived with a vengeance today, with 15 cms of snow, blowing snow and white-out conditions. I bundled up and trudged out at lunch time anyway, because I just had to get out of the office even if only for 20 minutes. We had white-out conditions later in the afternoon, but about 10 minutes after I left the office for the day it was over, the sky clearing a bit.

I snapped these pics at various point on the way home.

 It's a winter wonderland now.

 

 This was as I had turned into our complex, looking west over the roofs across the street.

Happily, the wind blew most of the snow into my back space, and there was very little (for once!) to shovel in my driveway. Bonus! That might not be the case tomorrow, as we're expecting another 5 cms overnight, but that's okay. I'm taking a vacation day tomorrow to check out flooring options at my leisure, as I'm busy on Saturday, so I also can shovel at my leisure, if necessary.
