OMG, OMG, OMG!!!!!

In front of the neighbours' unit when I got home from work today:

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm in shock, this is completely unexpected.

Was it my calling the police, in effect saying that enough is enough? The belt sander/renos? (LOL)

I don't quite know how to react (still the shock). I'm quite well aware that things could get worse, but I can promise you this: If any new owners or tenants are as disruptive, as abusive, as hellish, I will not wait four years to call the police.

Of course, the irony is that they likely are moving to a detached home...while I'm still here in adjoining housing. Still filled with determination to fix this place up, sell and move to my own small home: somewhere, somehow, some way -- no matter who my new neighbours turn out to be.

Good for you. I thought they might sell and soon, but am glad it's sooner than later. Somehow all this crossed my mind just recently.

That is stunningly great news!

Wow, I didn't expect that either. It's good news. Yes, the people who replace them may be worse, but that's doubtful. And who cares where they're going; if moving to a detached house is the only way to get rid of them, we should've taken up a collection for them long ago. I hope it won't be long until they sell. The fact that you're renovating will show prospective buyers that you are a conscientious, improving neighbour.

Awesome!!! I hope you get some relief and some better new neighbours Kim.

I truly thought it would be me who would go first, but am glad that's not the case.

I know, I know! I'm keeping myself under check (emotionally), because it really could be worse, I've had 8 years in total of noise and disruption (first 4 years with the 2 scary dogs, now 4+ years with *them*). However, it also could be better...much better. Only time will tell.

Best big news in a long time, yes!

I don't care where they go, either...only insofar that I don't buy my next house in the same neighbourhood. LOL.

Thanks, Julie, I hope so too, because I will tell you quite honestly that this has almost broken me.

Fantastic Kim! You deserve peace and quiet.
Take care!

Yes, I do deserve peace and quiet in and around my own home. It remains to be seen whether I'll get it. If the Universe wants to test my resolve to stand in my power, the new neighbours could be just as bad or worse. If I've learned that lesson sufficiently, I likely will get decent people. Or so I think! :-)

Zowie! Doing a happy dance for you! This is wonderful news. I'm so glad for you and am anticipating some normal, quiet people to counterbalance all the horrendous stuff you have been enduring.

Thanks, Vic. Part of me is doing a happy dance too, but the larger part of me is just mentally sitting and watching to see how this will play out.

Of course I saw this on FB, but it's still exciting to read again. I'm so happy, and I'm certain that the new neighbours cannot possibly be as bad as these have been. You've more than put up with your fair share in the past. I've been really fortunate, in the 30 years I've lived in Regina in 3 different houses I've only had one set of not so great neighbours. Fingers crossed!

This is just so, so exciting! We already saw it on FB, but it's STILL awesome to read and to see that sign! :)
