Thankful for a good deal!
Most of you probably remember that I give Derry a pinch of UTI-Free (from PetAlive.com) in his canned food, twice a day, to prevent another flare-up of cystitis. One small bottle lasts a couple of months, and since I'm nearing the end of my supply, it's been in my mind to order more. However, I've been hesitating because of the currency exchange rate, not thrilled with the idea of spending over $100 in CDN funds for another few bottles.
Anyway, in this morning's email "in box" was another promotion, to save 30% off a single order. So I logged in, added three bottles to my cart and wow! I got their "buy two, get one free" promo plus 30% off the entire order, and shipping to Canada was only $5!
Total order: $42.73 USD!
Now that's a great deal for the product, all things considered.
Pic from last August...when we weren't in a drought and my "grass" was green.
Thanks to all for the comments regarding the a/c. The entire building has been wonky since they came in and changed the thermostats several weeks ago. Either one side of the building has it or the other does, not both. And today our kitchen was well over 30C, with hot air blowing out, not cool. Ditto for two of my coworker's offices (one of whom has gone home to work remotely).
I know, I know...First World problems. But it does affect one's ability to be productive, to focus.
Anyway, I'll be off after today, on staycation through August 8th, back to work on the 9th. The week promises to be sweltering, so I'd better buy an extra fan or two for the house, including a battery-operated one (thanks, possumlady, for the suggestion). No plans per se; I have a few days of errands/stocking up to do, then I hope to putter around with the camera.
Have a great thankful Thursday!
Hollyhock from last August...when flowers weren't burned to a crisp.
Peace.

Why do they turn the air conditioning off in the afternoon, during the days hottest period? The mornings are usually cooler than the afternoons anyway, so air conditioning is needed less than later, isn't it?
Hope you can enjoy your staycation!!
Talk soon.
Glad you were able to get derry dood's meds at such a great deal; if they have a long expire date; you should see if you can get more at the same price//quantity { or maybe have someone order the same for you ?? }
ENJOY your time off, big hugs to the boys ♥♥♥♥♥
Derry looks so cute!
I got an e-mail from a lady who works in my office and goes in every day. She was letting all of us who are connected with that office know that the a/c is out tomorrow (Friday). I was in the office one day when there was no air. It was last summer actually. It was horrible!
I love your Hollyhock! We should exchange seeds, to expand our colours!
Have a wonderful week off. Relax and enjoy!
Hugs to you and the boys!
