Another spectacular Value Village run!

Fifty percent off at Value Village today for card members, in advance of the general sale tomorrow. I hemmed and hawed, but decided to go and am glad I did!

Seven short-sleeved tops for the warmer weather (I didn't try them on, but any that don't fit well enough for work can be worn on weekends or with pj bottoms), a small cushion with a removable cover (the only way I'll buy a pillow second hand is if it had a removable/washable cover), a textured fabric shower curtain and a table runner, for less than $31 including tax. Woohoo! The most expensive item was the shower curtain at $4 (regularly $8).

Cute little pillow for $3.
Nicki approves of the shower curtain.
Close up of the shower curtain.
Nicki's not so sure about the table runner.
It was $1, so I don't care if I have his approval.
He fixated on the shower curtain. LOL.
 All the great finds!

As for Nicki himself, he was feeling perky enough this morning to scratch at the carpet when he heard me get up, then come upstairs and tell me to hurry the heck up and feed him.  :-)

He's decided he likes the water from the base of the humidifier; he drank from it several times yesterday when I took one of the "jugs" off to refill it, ignoring all the water bowls around the house.
A few shots from yesterday afternoon--yes, I did join them for a while.  :-)

It's bitterly cold today, but Derry was brave or foolish enough to go out for a few minutes.

Nicki, with his nekkid tummy, went out on the step for about 30 seconds or less. Smart cat.

So things seem to be returning to "normal" around here, whatever passes for normal.

My thoughts are with a fellow Canadian blogger, who lost her beloved cat Oscar yesterday. I don't know if she'd want her blog mentioned here, so I won't--in any case, some of you already know it. Hugs and Light to you, and godspeed to Oscar.

Peace to all.

Kim,you did wonderfully at V.V! The short sleeved tops are such pretty colours. Love the little pillow.
Nicki does look much perkier today. Smart boy not to go outside with his bare tummy.
It looks like you received about the same amount of snow we did.
RIP Oscar.
Have a good afternoon!

All my favourite colours for the tops. :-)

They had a pretty little lacy pillow that tempted me, but as it didn't have a zippered cover I decided to pass. It was sweet, though. I got there before 10 AM and they already were open, busy but not crazy. By the time I left I'd had enough, though. :-D

It was such sad news yesterday about Oscar. I know his mom is going to miss him very much.

I love the color of all the tops. Very pretty! I also love a good bargain and I'd say you did extremely well. I'm pretty certain I could not have resisted curling up with Nicky and Derry either.

Have a great week. BTW, no news is good news.

Your shower curtain already has cat-hair on it before it is hung. Good work, Nicki. And I'm happy to read that he's returning to his normal self. Vet visits must be the most stressful thing in a cat's life. The fact that he wanted to go outside is very encouraging; the fact that he didn't want to stay out is just smart.

Thanks for stopping by. "No news" is good news indeed!

Alas for Nicki, the shower curtain went right into the wash. Now it's hung up and it looks pretty good, actually, even without cat hair. :-P

So sorry to hear about Oscar, that is very very hard.

You sure got some serious bargains at Value Village, Kim! That shower curtain looks so nice, and we're glad Nicki approves. :)

We just came from visiting Oscar's mom's blog. So very sad.

Glad to hear things are getting back to normal there.
Wish we had a Value Village here! You always find great buys!

Thanks, I lucked out. We have a good V. V., and it's always better when it's half-price. :-)

I'm still thinking about Oscar's human. ::sigh::

Thanks for stopping by. The shower curtain looks great, freshly laundered and up.

My continued thoughts and prayers to Oscar's mom.

There are some things I won't buy from a thrift store, but it's awesome for tops and table linens, etc. (Not sheets, ugh. That gives me the willies. LOL.)

Perversely, Nicki no longer wants the humidifier water. At least not last night or today. Maybe it was just the (loopy) pain meds making him drink from the base of it. LOL.

I need to learn shopping techniques from you! You always get great finds! I love the colors of the shirts! Derry was brave to go out in that weather! Our thoughts and purrs are with Oscar's mom.

Thanks for stopping by! Thrift-store shopping isn't everyone's cup of tea, and there are others who are far better at it than I! It's fun when you get a good deal, though. Who doesn't love a good deal? :-)
It looks like you found some great deals! I'm heading off to a thrift store later this week with some friends (toes crossed) and hopefully I can find something nice.
Your boys look so huggable ♥
