Home safe and sound

I got home last night (Friday November 17th) around 8 PM. Tired, because I'm not a good flier and it was a stressful week, but I'm not nearly as exhausted as my mom. At least I only bawled on the two take-offs heading east; I merely white-knuckled it on the return flights.

The bottom line is that I'm really glad I was able to be with her for the week, for her sake and for the sake of my step-dad too. I hope that in time, she will find a new path for herself, one in which she focuses on her own Self, not on caring for, or worrying about, someone else.

One of Harry's sons took this snapshot and sent it to me.
A friend of Mom's did the little memorial.

I took a few snapshots in the air and at both Toronto's and Halifax's airports, and I might post them another time.

For now I just want a bit of down time--literally feet on the ground as well as unwinding.

Godspeed, Harry.

Peace.

Hi Kim, so glad you made it home safe and sound. Relax and take care of yourself now.
Be well!
Know how much of a big help you were to your Mom being there for her. Glad you are home safe.
I have been thinking of you and your family this past week. Take some time for yourself. Glad you made it through the flights (I don't like flying, either)

Sounds like you had a stressful week, Kim. Glad you were able to be there for your mom. But I know the boys are happy that you are home again. As for the flying part, I love to fly... don't care for all the stress of the crowded airports and security checks (needed of course, but still...), but once I'm on the plane, I love being in the clouds!

Good to hear you are home safe and sound. I'm certain your mom knows how stressful you find flying, so I'm sure she was appreciative and grateful for your support.

Hope you have some time to relax and unwind this week.

I'm glad you're home safe and sound. I can only imagine how tiring and stressful it was, especially for your mom. It's very good that you were able to be there for her. I hope you're getting some rest.
Kim I am so happy you made it there (and home) safe and sound. If you took photos from the air then you did better than you thought you would. I am so happy you were able to offer some comfort to your Mom. Sending you giant (((hugs))), hoping the boys did well with the sitter too!
So very sorry for your loss, may your Mother find a path that brings her joy in her remaing time here.

So very sorry Kim. Glad you were able to go and support your mom. Funerals and memorials are so draining on the family. Take some time for yourself now to process all that has happened.

The reason for the journey is bad enough; the journey merely adds to the anxiety. But I too am glad you were there for your mother.
