What IS it with this week?!

I have no idea what's going on with the Universe at the moment, but this week has been crazy, utter chaos. We're in the middle of office insanity as the other department packs up to move downstairs on Monday, furniture movers are all over the building, painters are working (three other units departments are renovating and/or moving within the building), there are mountains of boxes everywhere....We all have to pack up too, to enable the painters to come in over the next two weekends and also to move to different offices or cubicles within the suite.

Beyond that, one of my co-workers and her hubby rescued a lost or abandoned cat two days ago, starving. S/he still is in their basement bathroom; I think it'll be the weekend before they can get the poor thing to their local humane society (only only from 9 AM till noon).

Another co-worker's wife ended up in the ditch this AM (with their young children in the car). Everyone is okay (shaken up, I'm sure), but in need of a tow.

Two days ago, going home on the bus, one of the drivers came over the air requesting an ambulance because a woman had fallen on his bus and injured herself, was unable to get up.

And on and on in this vein all week.

There must be some mis-alignment of the stars!
