The first snowfall is always magical

I'm skirting over how ridiculously early it is to have a snowstorm and am hoping it disappears within a few day.

In the meantime, the first snowfall of the winter is always magical. I brought my point and shoot with me today, and went out early for a few pics, before the messy mix of rain later.

I hope you have a magical (yet snow-free) day!

Peace.

It's so beautiful. I've seen several places in the U.S. with snow this week as well including where we were. I miss it! It's sunny & 70 degrees here. I know it's difficult and cold, but I just loved seeing it and being warm and cozy inside. Your pics are gorgeous.

Thanks. I could live without winter, though. :-/

It is way too early for this snow! I noticed Annie Bear mentioned it was sunny and 70 degrees where she is. Could you imagine that in November??
Great photos Kim, you really captured the beauty of the snow.

First snow is always pretty and so white. I love all the trees with the berries

I like seeing the first snow but that is it. I'd sooner not see another for ten years.

We're having a magical snowfall here, too. Yes, the undinted, unsullied snow is wonderful to see, especially if it sparkles in sunshine. I like seeing a cold, snowy day from inside my home, with a cup of tea in my hand, music on the record-player and my cats snoozing away around me. But I may grow tired of the snow before spring decides to end it...

Me too! Thanks for stopping by.

I'll second that! Except you live in a very southerly area and might not see any again for a decade. Us? Somehow I don't think so! :-D

I will second that! As for being tired of it -- I got pretty snow pics and that's all I need or want, so I AM done with it winter now!

It is always lovely to see in photos, but I suspect you find it a bit of a nuisance as winter wears on.

Too true! Of course, it would be more bearable if winter didn't last for 6 months....

So beautiful! Yes, the first snowfall is always so lovely. I don't have to tell you it gets old sometime around February. Ha.

We had 7 inches on Thursday, but it's almost all melted.

So pretty! I love when snow is fluffy and piles on the branches like in your photos.
