Two-Tabby Tuesday

I had a lovely vacation day yesterday (I highly recommend Mondays off, MUCH better than taking Fridays), "ran the roads" all morning, as my mom would say, then was home in the afternoon.

So I've got some (mostly blurry) cell phone snaps of the boys...a two-tabby Tuesday!

Nicki in front, with Derry in the background, hunkered over the radiator (furnace had come on).
 Derry's favourite spot these days!
Somekitty (Nicki) managed to get himself up to the top of my closet. My fault, I had moved a little shelf unit in there, for some thick sweaters. Once he jumped down I moved the shelf further back, so he can't use it to jump to the top of the shelf. (I don't care that he gets up, just that he'd always be "rearranging" the baskets and blankets I have up there!)

Uh, where am I supposed to sit to blog?!

Photobomb!
Nope, Nicki was NOT going out into the cold! (This was late afternoon.)
 Silly boy!

Derry's turn with Mr. Stick, below.

Apparently that was exhausting.

I hope they had a good day...I know I did!

Peace.

You mean the sewn pad? Someone local makes them and sells them at our vet clinic (and probably other vet clinics in town too). They have catnip, but all three pads are old. I almost bought them a new one, when I was at the clinic on Saturday picking up some meds for Nicki, but resisted the temptation. The boys are getting a lot already from Santa!
Yep, good day had by the two tabbies!

I hope they thought so. :-)

Time off is a beautiful thing! Lol at that last picture! The kitties sure had fun with you in the afternoon. I bet Nicki had a blast getting up there in your closet.

Merry Christmas and Hapy New Year to you, Nicki, and Derry. 🎄

Great photos of your boys. Looks like they have nice comfy spots to rest in. I bought Poppy a heated cat pad this year which she loves as she has gotten older. It only uses the same power as a lightbulb and seems quite safe. Good for old achy bones.

I love having a Monday off - makes the week much shorter.

That one picture of Nicki on top of the box in the closet makes him look like a kitten, very innocent and child-like - probably not the real him, eh?

I'm of two minds on which is better for a day off, Mondays or Fridays. If it is a Friday and everyone else is working, I keep thinking there will be a problem at work of my creation, and I won't know of the trouble I'm in until Monday. It's that sort of work-place. But to be honest, any day off is nice.

Oh, Nicki still is full of beans! He can drive me nuts, but I would rather he be full of it and getting into mischief than be unwell!

Thank you, to you and your family as well!

I've been debating getting the boys heated cat pads, but have been concerned about leaving it/them plugged in while I'm gone so long. If they have some sort of safety shut-off, that would be good!

I wouldn't say Nicki is innocent. LOL. But he's still my silly boy, still full of beans, for which I'm grateful, even when he does drive me batty. :-)

Yes, any day off is a good day!

Looks like it was a good day for everyone!

I think so! I'll hope for more good days like that over our break. :-)

Now THAT'S our favorite kind of day! It's fun seeing what Nicki and Derry get up to during the course of a day. :)

I LOVE seeing those boys up to no good! I'm tickled you found the time to snap those pictures! What fin to see. They are so handsome! And to see them playing like that and getting into things is a joy. Your boys are as healthy as can be. And they have lots of things to sleep and nap pn. That's the way it should be. Do they sleep with you at night? I'm trying to recall if you mentioned that or not.

Happy Christmas Kim! From Me and Her

I don't know about Derry, but Nicki can get up to a lot!

I don't know how healthy they are, hopefully okay in spite of existing issues! But they feel good enough to play and get into mischief, so that's a good thing. :-)

Merry Christmas to you too, Carole, and to Katie and your family!

P.S. Derry usually will sleep with me during the winter (because of the cold), but not typically in hot weather. It's rare for Nicki to sleep on the bed, and when he does, he doesn't stay long. Too many things to get up to in the wee hours, I suspect.
your boys are precious! They are characters and are perfect examples of why I am crazy about male kitties!! xoxo

What fabulous photos of Nicki and Derry! Love seeing them! It's obvious that they are very happy boys and pretty much rule the roost, as well they should!

Well, Annie had a big personality in her little body. So I'm not sure that it's a male cat thing, suspect it's just a purrsonality thing! :-)
