Wild Wednesday

Not the boys (though that sometimes applies too!), but this front garden I spied on the way to the office yesterday. (Click to enlarge.)

This is my kind of garden, wildflowers in abundance, a bit overgrown, a bit "wild." I prefer this to the ultra-manicured gardens, though those are lovely too. They're just not "me." :-)

As for other "wild" things, Nicki was wild around 4:15 AM this morning, and I knew he was just out of the litter box (the "relief" zoomies that cats seem to get). As a side note, the litter box output was solid, which was a relief for me. Ha.

Nicki with a scrunched ear a couple of evenings ago.

Have a "wild" (in a good way!) Wednesday, everyone.

Peace.

Lovely garden! I want to achieve that look in our yard but I don't know how to start. It may look wild but I think there's a method to the wildness and it's not just willy nilly. Or maybe it is? Nicky is a cutie pie!

I have read about these wild gardens in several magazines. They are not haphazard. They are definitely planned and carefully "installed". The result is breathtaking. I could sit in a chair in the middle of that all day long. I have rarely gotten a glimpse at such a garden...especia;ly one as lovely and spacious as this one. There is one several miles from here on a walk I used to take (too hilly for me now with my med problem)...and it just grips me with its wold beauty every time I see it.
It's a LOT of work getting it put together and there is some work to maintain it as well from the many article Is have read. Worth it to the last second!

Nicki..*smooch*

We love that kind of garden, too, Kim. Your captures of it are wonderful!

Yay for solid output from Nicki. Sorry it was at 4:15 in the a.m., though. ;)

I would love to have a garden like that, but not the work that goes into it sadly. Good job Nicki, though I'm sure your mom would have preferred if had occurred during regular waking hours (hers, not yours).

I love the perfectly landscaped gardens and also the naturalistic look. I think it would be delightful to come through a wilderness of flowers and shrubs and trees, then into a perfectly landscaped garden, perhaps through a door in a wall. Quite Alice in Wonderlandish...

Those are my regular waking/getting up hours. LOL. Sometimes I try to stretch it to 4:45, but that doesn't often happen!

I'm usually awake and getting up, though some mornings it's particularly hard to get out of bed that early. :-D

That reminds me of an English garden. It is truly beautiful.

I understand about happiness over it being solid. I vacillate between happiness that she even went and happiness that it's solid. Back and forth.
