Jam-packed weekend
I certainly was lamenting having only a 2-day weekend this past week! I
was ridiculously busy, mostly with house chores and a gazillion loads of
laundry (taking curtains down, washing curtains, putting curtains up,
washing blankets, washing cat stuff, my stuff, etc.) Plus a good deal of
decluttering, as well as the usual running around. The one bright spot
in the weekend (other than the weather, which was wonderful) was a visit from out-of-town friends R & C on Sunday.
We went to the City Greenhouse after lunch, my second (and final) trip for 2020.
It was lovely the first Sunday I went, two weeks ago, but it was spectacular yesterday, with most of the flowers now in full bloom, or almost fully opened. Absolutely glorious.
It also was very crowded, with quite a few people. I think everyone is getting a bit anxious for spring now! (Do click on the photos to enlarge them for better viewing! I should have gone into floral design; flowers make me feel so happy.)
I took only my cell phone, but frankly, it does a far better job for near and close-up snapshots than my usual point and shoot. It certainly is able to handle the bright light better, and I didn't have to make any lighting adjustments in PhotoShop Elements afterward.
So much of Sunday was lovely, though I'd actually been up since 4:30 AM and put in over 4 hours of work in the house before R & C arrived, then did more chores after they left. At least I had a break for several hours through the day. :-)
As for my little Derry-Bear, he handled the company well enough...once he came out of hiding. (The pic below was from Saturday, though. Enjoying the sunshine, but not impressed with the cell phone pointed at him. Ha.)
Take care and have a good week!
Peace.

That visit to the City Greenhouse was a heavenly one; according to your photos!
No doubt a very fragrant one too, those hyacinths... love the white ones.
Derry was not too amused but at least he found himself some sun-puddles to dream in.
You mentioned it right, the hours preparing before company arrives... we all try to declutter our 'nest' before we let others enter it.
Today's rain was not too bad. We certainly hope that our Thursday night wet vac session (mine!) was the final one... Our Oconee River had risen 27' so that is a LOT of water and for us, the over-saturated soil caused the water to seep through the floor and tiles. Still waiting with the final cleaning; just to make sure I have to do it only ONCE before putting things back from the hallway into the living room area.
Hugs and stay cozy.

Phone cameras are getting better and better. I often use my cell instead of my larger camera. Sometimes it's just plain laziness on my part, but often it's because I need to get a photo that minute...
Have a great week!
The flowers are simply beautiful!
Yeah, Housework, Blah MOL
Derry you look great!
their "real" arrival ~~~~~~~~~~~ :) ☺☺♥♥
It seems I am not the only one decluttering. Once I started I see even more that needs to be done!
Your trip to the greenhouse looks relaxing. The flowers are so beautiful!
Wishing you a good week.
