Thursday thoughts
First, I hope everyone is keeping well and that any fear and/or anxiety you might be experiencing isn't taking complete control. Or maybe you're blasé about everything. I'm not blasé at all, and I do have moments where, out of the blue, tears will roll down my face. Just moments of being overwhelmed by everything, and those moments pass.

A couple of PSAs (public service announcements), one specifically for those of you in Canada, one more general:
1. If anyone is of the mind (and is financially able) to donate to COVID-19 relief at this time, Gore Mutual Foundation is matching donations right now, up to $2M: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/covid-19-fund/. I sometimes donate through CanadaHelps.org and got a message with this info in my "in" box overnight. It's legit, not a scam.
2. If anyone is as paranoid as I am at going into stores for groceries, prescription pick-ups, etc., and would feel better wearing a mask, Etsy is a good source. I don't know why I didn't think of them sooner, for the home-made type. No, they won't protect you like a real medical mask would, but I'm of the mind that every little bit helps. I had to go to the drug store this morning for a prescription, and I wore a shawl-type scarf wrapped around my face, plus gloves. OMG, I was hot! And since "real" masks aren't to be found anywhere that I know of, and the "surgical" type ones on Amazon.ca are all from China, I opted to shop on Etsy. I bought 12 washable masks from 5 different sellers, and if nothing else, they will make me feel better psychologically. They might actually help my allergies too, by keeping larger dust particles and pollen out, which would be a bonus. Once I get them all and see which ones I like best, I'll likely order more. They will become part of my public wardrobe this year, even when things get back to "normal." (On the bus and in stores, I mean.) I'm only sorry I won't have received any by next Tuesday, as I have to go to a nearby clinic for blood work on the 8th. I'm freaking out about that, because any medical centre will be a hotbed of germs, and I definitely will be wearing a scarf around my face, and wearing gloves too.
If anyone needs some humour and hasn't already seen the NJ comedian parodying Trump/Easter, check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=U2pMkW7EwSc. (No offense is intended to anyone by sharing this link.)
That's it for me for the moment. Please, everyone, take every possible precaution and stay safe, stay well.
Peace.
