Autumn is starting to show her colours

(Note: Some of these snapshots have been posted to Instagram, so they will be repeats for anyone who is on it.)

While we're currently having summer-like temps, autumn definitely is starting to show her colours.

I really haven't been out to take any pics yet, but hope to do that over the next couple of weekends, if we have decent weather and I have the time.

I managed to snap a slightly out-of-focus shot of this nuthatch, below, on a morning walk earlier this week. It was my first time getting a pic of one, so I was just happy to have anything.

 I saw this cutie too:

I'm still seeing a lot of cottontails! It was a banner year for them, apparently. And there are plenty of blooms left, which makes my heart happy.

Of course this cutie makes my heart happy too:

So for the moment all is well with us, to the best of my knowledge. Everyone take care and stay well. Have a good weekend!

Peace.

Beautiful photos Kim. Our spring is starting up, but a big storm is due tomorrow so I am off to get the chores done today.

Have a lovely weekend.

Lovely photos Kim! I love the reds - there aren't many of those here. Derry is adorable too. Give him a scritch or two from me.

Nuthatches are such lovely little birds - scurrying head down around trees. You other pictures are lovely too.

I love that white flower with the red maple leafs on the petals. Here, we only get one colour of leaf in the autumn. The yellow is pretty, but it's like always having the same tasty meal...

Hello Derry. We are still waiting for colors here but yours are lovely
Dearest Kim,
WOW, your autumn is already quite advanced, but sure, you live in a far more northern latitude!
We soon will be making some scenic train rides in the north of our state and also in North Carolina. That is something to look forward to.
Your Derry boy is really happy, guess the surgery after all, did him well.
Ours are all doing fine. So are both of us. Breast ultrasound did prove to be not cancer and will be repeated in half a year and got my 10 year colonoscopy out of the way... That liquid made me vomit so badly in the end. Not my best days but slept like a kitty! Kitty Moms understand what that means...
Hugs,
Mariette

Okay, we enjoyed all of your photos, Kim. The red of the foliage made us gasp! And then, we saw that photo of Derry. That one wins the day, for sure. He is SO adorable. :)

Hugs to you both!
