Derry's early Christmas present

I was going to wait till Christmas Day to give Derry his gift from "Santa," but when this arrived last week I decided to "assemble" it right away. We don't know what tomorrow will bring, so better he should enjoy it as soon as possible, for as long as possible!






I'm  happy to say he likes it.

I got it from Wayfair Canada, by the way. PetValu has a very similar item, but not in the colour I had wanted (boring beige), so I went with Wayfair, for about the same price, if I recall.

"Santa" still has a few little things for him, but as he's no longer showing any interest in catnip or toys, I suspect this will be what he most appreciates.  :-)

You are so right about why waiting. Every day in the life of our kitties has an extension of total lifespan. Days way a lot heavier for them as they do for humans (provided they're healthy...).
A real man cave that he obviously LOVES and then on top for lounging and looking out into his little world. Great choice.

Lucky Derry, that's an awesome bed/box. I'm sure he'll get lots of use of it. As for giving it to him now, Christmas has no meaning to him, but I bet having that comfy spot to nap made his day.

How good that Derry lliked it ! We got a cat bed from Amazon yesterday that is heated by the cats' own body temp, not electric - and it was occupied before it had a chance to warm to room temperature from being delivered outside !

Ah, this is wonderful to see. I was afraid that you were going to write that it was a stereotypical feline situation and that Derry preferred the box it came in. But he looks very comfortable and snug on that warm cloud, perfect for a winter's day. That second picture seems to suggest that he's saying, "Mine."
