Thankful Thursday
I'm thankful for this dear little one, my heart. ♥
I'm thankful the university is closed tomorrow, giving us an extra, extra long weekend. Monday is the Victoria Day holiday and since 2020 the administration has given us an extra day off. I presume all Ontario universities are doing the same; ours certainly wouldn't do it solo!
I'm thankful for the blooms, now come and gone. Last week was quite warm, summer-like, and all the apple and cherry tree blossoms peaked. Most of their flowers are gone now, but they were glorious while they lasted.
I'm thankful the dentist who replaced the filling in one of my lower molars this morning had a soft touch with the needle, because I needed three of them to completely freeze me. I'm still frozen, almost four hours later, but it's better than feeling any pain! I'm booked for a temporary crown on that tooth (it's cracked in several spots) on July 15, then for the permanent one on July 29. Ugh. However, I'm certainly very thankful we have anesthetic! LOL. I'm also thankful I have dental coverage. It won't cover the full cost, but presuming the insurance company okays the expense, it will cover some. I'll be getting it done, regardless, as I prefer to save the tooth.
I'm very thankful my aunt, Mom's younger sister, has been visiting Mom in Halifax for the past couple of weeks and will be there a while longer. She's taking good care of Mom, and I feel much easier in my mind knowing someone is there to make good meals for her, etc. (My aunt is a fantastic cook and loves to do it; neither Mom nor I enjoy doing it for ourselves.)
I could list more things for which I'm thankful, but this post in long enough. I hope you have many things to be thankful for today, and every day, too.
Peace.

it's just a safe trip to and from work. the photos are awesome as always; and derry DOOD...
lookin good buddy :) ♥♥
Hoping your Mom is doing okay for the rest! Always worrisome when an aging parent is ailing.
She is lucky for having her younger sister nearby!
Your Derry is a darling and he knows how to lap up the love he is getting from his human Mommy.
Nature is breathtaking in your area; far more beautiful than in our warmer region...
You have to wait longer for it to start but then, it makes good for so much.
Enjoy your Victoria Day weekend!
Hugs,
Mariette
Good luck with that dental work. It's definitely not fun, but I'm glad you have a good dentist and some dental coverage.
Happy Victoria Day. Have a great weekend! XO
Enjoy your long weekend.
