Wordy Wednesday: First Kitty Love
Ann at Zoolatry had proposed that posts on Wednesdays in February reflect love, friendship, kindness, and caring.
Long-time readers no doubt will have seen these old pics of angel Chumley, my first adoptee and my Mentor. He did not get the best of me, as it was a very difficult time in my life and I was unknowingly clinically depressed. Everything I have done for my subsequent cat companions has been with him in mind, and I hope my karmic debt has be been paid now.
Chumley was ever-forgiving, though, ever-loving, and was happiest in my arms. These pics are from September 28, 2006 (he passed unexpectedly on January 24, 2007).
He was such a handsome boy, the most photogenic of my four cats. It's been many years without him, but oh, the love never dies 💖

Oh I cannot leave without telling you what beautiful head of hair you had/ and am sure still have. Love the color style
Hugs,

LOVE your hair in this picture.
Oh, what a love bug your Chumley was—purrfectly happy on your lap and in your arms.
So glad that he came to you and found true love.
We too did not give our first kitty (that Pieter found between the raspberry bushes in January of 2001...) the love she deserved—but that is hind sight! All others later on became more of a family member and we felt guilty towards her rather short life. She got hit by a car in front of Pieter who was scattering ant killer on certain spots in the front lawn. Not even two years old... She was so loving and wanted to be near us all the time. Only in the final stage of her life did we let her sleep on our bed. https://mariettesbacktobasics.blogspot.com/2011/05/our-felines-sweet-spooky-i.html

Yes, our kitties do shape us in many ways and they teach us a lot about TRUE LOVE + LOYALTY!
Big hugs and thanks for sharing.

I'm sorry for the sad end of life for your first cat; that would have been exceptionally difficult to deal with. ♥
having his photos in my files, getting to know him through you ... and taking in his extraordinary
beauty. He was a special boy in many ways.
