Vacation Day 3: London Farm
After our visit to the village, we stopped at London Farm on the way home. It was only a few minutes away, still in Steveston.
"London Farm offers a taste of century-old farming life. It’s a
picturesque four-acre historic site along the south arm of the Fraser
River that tells the story of farming in Steveston from 1880 to 1930.
Walk around the park and enjoy the heritage herb and perennial gardens.
View outdoor agriculture exhibits, a chicken coop and apiary! Visit the
beautiful tearoom where you can enjoy afternoon tea and purchase
homemade jam to take home (seasonal)."
We arrived just before the house closed at 4 PM, so I took just a couple of quick snaps before we left.
I did walk around the grounds a bit, but that was all. I'd like to go back earlier in the day, when I'm out there again, perhaps just Dad and I, as we like to take our time and take pics, while his wife is very high-energy and doesn't enjoy slow going. I'd also like to make room to pack my better camera!
Below: The view across the road from the farm. It was a much quieter spot for a picnic or just for relaxing, as a few people were doing.
The next post will be some pics from the part of Stanley Park we visited the following day (Sunday June 11). I'd have liked to see more of it; maybe next time!
Take care and have a lovely weekend.

Thank you for taking and sharing your visit with us

You sure went to the West Coast at the peak season with the Dogwoods and Azaleas in full bloom.
Both of us have worked in the Fraser Valley (mushrooms...) and loved its surroundings. Then again our Canada Rail vacation started out there. One could 'stay' there!
Our adopted daughter Liz hails from B.C. but she was born in Prince Rupert in the north.
Trying to read my most favorite blogs and comment—slowly getting back to real life. This week I gained back weight from 44.5 kg to 45.4.
My best comment was yesterday from Home Health Care Occupational Therapy (she said she did not have to come back) and hours later from Physical Therapy as she said: you are way beyond Home Health Care. That was the best 'injection'.
Big hugs and oh, you should be able to see the images of my sibling kitty nurses—all four of them! They do know when their human is in pain and they know how to extra love them... But you already knew that!

Have a lovely weekend
We spent a couple of hours at Stanley Park back in 2014 before we boarded a short 4 day cruise. It was late May, and I remember everything was so nice and green. Looking forward to seeing your photos!
