Tabby Tuesday: Aha! The Truth!

As I've mentioned, this fellow (first spied in June) has been showing up for several consecutive days, mooching breakfast. I thought he must have a home, as he's in good shape, and I just found out from a neighbour that yes, he does indeed have a home on our street. He's Leonard's housemate (or was, as Leonard is now missing), and he has free access in and out of his house.


Apparently there are several of us who have been feeding him, and he makes the rounds, mooching what he can.

I'm relieved that he does have a home, with various suckers like me around to pad out his tummy. The neighbour told me that there are a couple of current strays that some people are feeding, as they want the cats to stick around and keep the mouse and rat population under control. I haven't seen any strays lately myself, but any are welcome to some food here too, if they wish.

At least now I won't worry about this fellow being homeless, or be concerned that he won't get food the next time I'm away on holiday (next month).

He certainly has a purr-suasive and melting look about him, which no human with a heart could resist. Our Human would also be feeding him, that's for sure.

Good to know this one has a home. However, I thought I might see that
he did not and was now inside with, ummm, you maybe. Wonder where poor Leonard made off to? Poor him, unless someone took him in.

John, I hope not, either. Mr. Tabby didn't show up this morning, but perhaps there's better food elsewhere. Or perhaps he's indoors at the moment. I hope Leonard turns up, though if I'm honest, I will be surprised if he does, given the location of our complex (adjacent to two major thoroughfares), coyotes, etc. Leonard reminds me of Nicki--a very busy boy who has a lot to do and who doesn't want to be fettered. You'd think their human would get a clue and keep the tabby in, given Leonard's recent disappearance, but....Anyway, it's not in our control.
