Monday Mancat Memories

We're into October 2008 for pics now.

I actually have very few pics (of anything) for October 2008, not sure why, so I don't even have enough of the boys to post every Monday. I'll post what I do have, though!

Below: The first two are Nicki atypically sitting still and watching Derry zoom around play with what was probably a piece of mulch. Nicki looks sleepy in the first pic, but it was just one of those (many) less-than-stellar snapshots.

I wish Derry were still young and healthy and happy and with me. I still find it hard to see his pics; even after almost nine months, I miss him so. It might be a good thing (for me) that I don't have many pics for this month.

My sweet baby.

Thanks for stopping by; have a lovely day and week!

P.S. I'll be on holiday from October 6 - 17 inclusive, back to work on the 18th. I'll be here, away, here, away, and finally here. LOL. So if I'm not commenting much (or posting) that's why!

Have a lovely holiday! Those are sweet photos of the boys. It is only the last few months I have been able to watch videos of the boys, and that is only because one opened unexpectedly.

Jackie, I understand that. It was many years before I could look at the one video of Chumley that I have, and I just can't watch the ones of the boys yet. I also avoid pics taken in the last month or two before their deaths; I can't bear it.

A coworker recently said to me that "life is beautiful and brutal," and that is the perfect way to put it. ♥

Kim happy happy holiday...enjoy every single nanosecond.
I'm kinda like Angel Nicki watching others exercise makes me sleepy too.

What sweet photos of the boys. Derry looks not much older than a kitten in the photos.

Do enjoy your vacation time!
For two tabby boys, Nicki is definitely the darker and Derry the silver!
Great for you to get a week off work. Your Thanksgiving is during that time?
I know it is October Holiday. If you are visiting outdoors any, take pictures to share later in the month and enjoy enjoy enjoy time away from the computer pull of work.

Thanks, Lynn. Yes, our Thanksgiving is on Monday October 9th. Yes, I will be taking my camera, though our summer-like weather is coming to an end this weekend, so I don't know how many pics I'll actually be able to take!

Those are lovely photos of Derry, and I do fully understand the missing him part. I wish it got easier.
Those are such fun and sweet photos. Enjoy your holiday!!!

It can be very difficult to see our loved ones in their prime, or even in their old age, after they've left us. I long for mine, too, from the days long before I worried about them. But when exactly did I not worry about them?... Derry and Nicki were blessings.

Kim MOL MOL at the video comment today
I just added something that I should have put in the post.

As Kit said to me when she sent the video, remember I was a Kindergarten teacher for 30 years. My sense of humor was a great tool to engage and encourage the little one's imagination.
Hugs Cecilia

We love these photos of your boys, Kim. It really can be hard to see pictures of our furbabies in their youth. Hugs and light to you as you remember your Derry.

Have a nice vacation!

I see I'm not alone. I loved seeing the boys from 2008. What handsome...well really beautiful boys they were.
I have a hard time looking at Admiral and Robin both as I remember every second of the time I took their pictures. I have some I know are there but I can't open them. Just as I gave an old tape of my Dad when he used to mail me one each week. I can't for the life of me listen to it. Bad as I want to, I just can't.
Thank you for the well wishes for our sweet Brian.
