Thankful Thursday
It's a gorgeous morning here, "mild" and sunny, so I thought I'd post a few "thankfuls" for the day.
The pic below was snapped in late afternoon earlier this month. I loved the setting sun on the vapour trails.
I'm thankful for my early morning walks and for the ability to move. (I'm also thankful for Voltaren gel and my extra-large heating pad, but that's another matter. Hahaha.)
I'm thankful for good friends, two of whom visited last Sunday. We braved Costco, which actually wasn't too crazy at all, surprisingly.
I'm thankful that the countdown till our holiday work break is on...at least I'm counting down!
I'm thankful for the remaining family that I do have, thankful to have any at all. I will be spending Christmas with my aunt this year (Mom's younger sister). At first I thought no, given that my aunt is...uh...well, let's just say that she has a strong personality, but I reconsidered that. I don't want to spend this Christmas on my own; I want to be with people who love the holidays and celebrate with joyful abandon. I was concerned that I would be a fifth wheel for her daughter (my cousin) and the daughter's family, as they are strangers to me, but everyone seems to be pleased I've decided to join them. I did meet my cousin for the first time in October, over Thanksgiving, and I like what little I saw of her then. So it will be a new adventure of sorts for me, as I've not spent the holidays with any family since 1995. (With my then-spouse when we moved here from Halifax, yes, and with friends after we split, and many on my own with the cats, but not with biological family.) I told my aunt I want a "Griswold" Christmas, so we'll see what she has up her sleeve. BTW, I pretty much have to go anyway, because she told me straight out that if I didn't spend it with her, she would be knocking on my door. And she would! She's notorious for showing up unexpectedly, without an invitation. LOL.

You sure are lucky for being able to spend Thanksgiving with family.
We never had that luxury as we're the only ones living abroad...
Yes, celebrating with kitties is all we've done for some 22 years now.

My son has decided he doesn't want to partake this year, so I'll be spending it with my daughter and grandson at their home. Eli is quite excited to be able to have Christmas at home.
The photos are lovely, especially the sun setting with the light in the clouds. We face east here at the new house, and I've not thought to look out the back windows to see what I can see from here. One day!

Lynn: My ankle is doing well, it's my knee. LOL! I've overdone the walking/exercise bike, cardio videos. :-D
