A bit of needed cheer

When it looks like this out, and when it's a difficult day otherwise, you need something to add a bit of cheer to the day!

That's my neighbours' second car; they're using my driveway
while waiting for a second parking spot to open up.

I snapped this on the way to the bus around 11 AM today.

The main roads were fine, it was just our complex (which doesn't get plowed as often as it should) and the sidwalks (most were impassable).

So when I was in the grocery store, I picked up these, below, to add a bit of brightness to another grey day.

I don't think they'll last long, given that they got a blast of cold weather while waiting for a taxi home, but even so, they'll at least brighten the weekend.

I hope you find something to brighten your own day.

Your flowers brightened things here !
Brr, too much snow. The flowers look lovely.
Those flowers sure are pretty! The snow pics sure give me the shivers just looking at them!

Brrr. That is some seriously wintry weather, Kim. And we are sorry your complex does not get plowed and shoveled as it should. We get it, though we don't have any snow right now. We live at the end of a small street that is often low on the city's priority list. Those flowers are lovely, and a wonderful splash of happiness in the midst of that stuff going on outside. Stay warm, our friend!
I'd say you better keep looking at the bouquet of flowers and keep the curtains closed so you don't have to look at that nasty snow. I woke up this morning to a few inches on the ground, the most we've had so far one time. But nothing like yours. However I'm going to get sunshine today while it's eight degrees. A trip out to put up the bird feeders and then run right back in.
K, thanks for sharing. it’s minus 4 here and with the wind
it’s minus 26. a heat wave kicks in on thursday when it
will be 25, the ice that’s all over everything wants to stick
around 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬I guess

hope your week is good ‼️😺🐟💙

Kim how kind of you to share your driveway.
I put fairy lights on our mantel at Christmas. I decided to leave them up til spring. They are led and add cheer to the room. I also have a stand for my glass pumpkins. It has an led light in it. I switch out the pumpkins they give off a happy glow at night.
Your bouquet is beautiful especially the pink and yellow roses

Brr...rr! Kim, that looks really cold! I can't imagine even venturing out in that weather. It's 13 F here this morning and I'm staying cozied up to the fireplace (or the Aga). The ferals outside are cozying up to the straw and heat lamps we put out.

The flowers look lovely and definitely are a bright spot. Oh, that dirty snow. Do the neighbours shovel your driveway as a courtesy for using it? That would be nice of them.
Stay warm and dry!

I love the flowers and am glad you thought to bring them home. They DO add the right touch to the home. I used to buy myself a bouquet in the grocery store once every month. I always knew that if I didn't, I wouldn't have any. Admiral was apt to eat them unless I kept them out of sight.

The flowers are furry purrty! If Our Human brought flowers home, We would probably eat them - well, Shimshi would, at least...
The bouquet is lovely and I hope it gives light and cheer to your heart.
This slushy weather is difficult to navigate. I cringe whenever a car passes me as I walk to and from work. I've been deluged in the past.
Take care, Kim.
