Done. Done like dinner.

The kitchen was finished yesterday (Monday June 3), the grouting being the last thing. We are done. Done like dinner. Done, done, done.

That's not all the work, of course, though the electrical is now finished too. But this BIG reno is DONE. I would do a couple of things differently, if I had it to do all over again, but even so, I'm pleased.

If you need a reminder as to what I started with, and lived with for 20+ years, here it is:

There's no contest, IMO. And no, the "winner" isn't the original.  😁

Thank you, Mom. Love you, miss you, wish you could see it. ❤️

Kim, it looks fabulous and I bet your mum is looking down and smiling.
It looks lovely, so neat and tidy. Worth the upheaval of it all for the end result.
Kim, I am guessing you miss the convenience of the open cabinets, lol. This looks so clean and fresh. I am glad you were able to get it done and am sure your mother is smiling at the finished project. Hopefully she will keep you from falling off the ladder when you paint. Lynn and Precious XX
Oh Kim, It looks beautiful. Enjoy.
That is really, really nice and hooray for the all done!

PS I really like the coffee bar
Oooooooooooooo! What a great reno!
I also like the coffee bar :)

You know that's not really a coffee bar, right? I'm just too lazy to put the kettle away, because I use it so much. 😆

It looks wonderful Kim! I know how relieved you must feel to have the major renovation completed. Although you know it will be worth it in the end, it's a pain while you're going through it.

The kitchen looks so bright and fresh. The new cabinet (where your kettle is sitting) looks fabulous. That's more storage than you had previously, right?

Enjoy!

Eileen, I did have a cabinet there before, two shelves inside. This definitely gives me better storage. That and the pantry cabinet I had put in the alcove on the other side of the fridge wall.

Your cupboards have doors! Everything is a fine improvement; all very nice, indeed. And there are always a couple of things that need doing differently; all in all, though, this is a very good renovation, with excellent results.

Kim your kitchen is so lovely, and I hope you delight in it for many years to come.
Thank you for stopping by and helping me to remember my dear Boo. It meant a great deal to me and I so appreciated all the kind words and thoughts. She was a very special lady and elegant in every way. It was so shocking and so hard to say farewell.
OMG, your kitchen is beautiful now!
Dearest Kim,
How did I ever miss this post?! Guess I was not feeling well at that time and got behind somehow.
Wish you had nudged me sooner as I've hinted about the finished kitchen before—always wondered how it ended.
Fond memories of your Mom and she no doubt would be very proud of it—she followed you!
It is a lovely kitchen, elegant and practical.
Hugs,
