A Bit of Holiday Magic

At our local mall, a new display after so many years of the same old, same old. (It's a bit blurry, I didn't think to use the panorama mode until after the fact.)

It was packed on Saturday with parents and their little ones waiting for their turn on Santa's lap, so I popped up early yesterday morning, long before the mall actually opened. I expected it to be quiet, but the food court was already filled with families (8:30 AM, mall opens at 11 AM on Sundays). Fortunately, there was no one around upstairs except the dedicated mall walkers!

Also cute: Someone has made a gnome out of cedar boughs. I don't even like gnomes, to be honest, but I loved this.

I admit I'm not feeling it this year, I'm not even into the schmaltzy Hallmark Christmas movies as I usually am. I am into having two weeks off work, though! LOL. I'm counting down the working days!

Kim what a lovely and cheerful mall display.
OMCs the Gnome out of cedar boughs it brilliant...I'm with you I love it too.
I know you are eager for a relaxing 2 weeks off you had a very busy spring and summer with your renovations. Now you can sit back and really enjoy them.
We will be spending some time with our Angel Madi's favorite sissy and brother in law. We look forward to lots of kitty loving from Mia, Frisco and Harper

We absolutely LOVE the Gnome made of cedar boughs! How inventive someone was! In fact, the whole display is lovely.
I think I caught the Hallmark bug from Brian's Home/Terry. I'm watching maybe 2 a week since mid November. Love the indoor scene but hey, where's the Kitty! In a tree while the pup rests on the couch? Not fair. I swapped out the Autumn orange lit mini tree for the color light Christmas tree over the weekend. Mostly cat related ornaments from Fancy Feast. That's it for decorating here. Your Christmas gift to you is time off and I hope you enjoy the freedom from work. Lynn and Precious XX

That's a lovely background for Santa (and I presume an elf or two).
The gnome is cute too!
Enjoy your break! I know you deserve it.

I really don't care for gnomes...ever. But that one is clever and cute! Have to admit. By the way, off topic but I only just noticed that Angel Nicki has a little heart on his halo. How appropriate and sweet! Enjoy your two weeks.
That is a lovely display. I don't particularly like gnomes either, but even I have to say that one is cute!

That's a nice-looking set; they did a good job. And I'll bet Santa will be glad of the wide seat, instead of a chair as many Santas have to sit in.

The display is really cute, and we love that gnome, too. So excited for you to have two whole weeks off, Kim! I'm counting down, too. taking Fridays off in December, then am out between Christmas Eve through New Year's Day.
