That's a wrap on 2024!

Everyone can guess my one word for 2024: Renovations. I'm glad I survived them, glad they're behind me!

My holidays are rapidly winding down, as they always do. I had a lovely lead up to Christmas Day and an unexpectedly enjoyable 25th too. After that, well, I picked up a "bug", guessing the latest COVID variant as transmission rates are very high in our area now, and it's been a yo-yo of feeling crummy versus feeling a bit less crummy. (So far limited to head congestion and some coughing.) Still, I have plans to meet up with a family friend on January 2nd (masked!), unless things take a real down turn. We can (I hope) at least go for a walk in the fresh air and catch up. (I'm probably not contagious by this point anyway.)

So to end the year, I'll leave you with a few pics from walks between Dec 21 - 25, plus one fur baby from the bus.

Lucky snapshot of the muskrat!

Happy New Year! Thanks for sticking around for the occasional musings on my small life. Peace and blessings to All.

Kim what a nice wrap up for 2024. OMCs we are sick here too.
I do hope you can meet up with your friend.
Bryan has been up most of the last two nights coughing.
We got up at 2:30 am this morning. I made breakfast at 3.
We were the first two patients in the Urgent care. We both have a viral infection, thanks to his brother for sharing it on Christmas Eve...Bryan's a little worse due to had cough. Chest xray was clear. Thise viral things have to run their course 7-10 days with coughing being the last of the process; however, it can last several weeks.

We a precious wolfie you met and I love the verse
Hugs Cecilia
What a photo of the black squirrel. I rarely see them. And so far I've rarely seen snow, but looks like you had some cold walks. Sorry to hear the bug/covid is hanging on. No fever, not contagious. I had the fever for 3 weeks! I hope you do meet up for a visit with friend before time off is over. The pup was on the bus it looks. How fun. We have 2 neighbors whose dogs I do like. Most of the dogs here are too pushy and the owners take no control. I'm not a dog person anyway. Now for you to enjoy the redo and not do too much painting later on. I wish for you a very good New Year. Lynn and Precious XX

Happy Healthy 2025, Kim! Sorry to hear about the dreaded bug, yes, it's still around. Feel better, mask up, and enjoy the rest of the holidays!
Sorry to hear you are not feeling so well. I hope it is not covid as a couple of different friends had it and they both took 4 weeks before they recovered. We kept well away from them. I gave them both 3 pack testing kits as I don't have to pay for them as my immunity is so low.
The photos are lovely. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!!!! Hope that 2025 will be a happy year for you!!
May you recover fast too!!!
