Cuties along the way

I got together yesterday with a family friend, and after a light lunch at a west end café, we walked through Lemoine Point. It's a spot I haven't been in many years, for several reasons.

Here are some cuties along the way.

Finn

Cain, adopted from an overseas country. His brother, Abel, went to his forever home elsewhere.

Finally, a lucky shot of a nuthatch. A young girl was holding out her seed-filled palm to him, but he was undecided about the free food. 

It was freezing out at the conservation area, but that didn't deter all the people who were there walking. The parking lots were quite full! 

It was nice to catch up and walk somewhere I don't get to anymore. A good way to start the year.

Great pictures as always. I enjoy seeing what's outside. And the fur of all kind is fun. Nice you felt better and went for a lunch and a visit. Good start to the New Year. Our rain here on New Years, but today we finally have 3 inches of snow with 6 to come on Monday. With bitter cold starting tonight and going all thru Jan. Doubt I'll be out except to feed the birds and shovel snow, lol. Lynn and Precious XX

I am late today. I took Bryan to the doctor. He has a nasty sinus infection. We are waiting for the pharmacy to call to tell us they are ready.

Don't you just adore meeting pups and their people.

Cecilia, ugh! I hope Bryan's infection clears up quickly with the meds. Sinus problems are so painful!

Laura, no, it was a family friend from growing up in Gaspe, QC. I don't see many red squirrels in the area, though they're out in the woods. I saw more of them when I lived in Halifax, though.

I thought squirrels hibernated. Are they being messed up by climate change? In any case, those two are certainly ready for long spells living off their fat.

Definitely a great way to start the year off, with a friend and good walk.
I always chuckle when I see the eastern squirrels. Ours are more of a red brown colour, your version is much more handsome.
