Playing referee

I got up this morning to find Finn (another of the neighbourhood cats) by my door and Jake at the bottom of the stairs. Neither was moving on and neither was getting too close to the other. They weren't aggressive, just...wary of each other. I don't know why Finn was hanging about; Jake was waiting for a bit of Fancy Feast, though.

So Finn, above, got far more Greenies than he needed just to keep him away from Jake's food, while Jake (below) was eating his breakfast.

Of course this means I'll probably have Finn on my doorstep now, looking for treats, along with Jake. Finn already gets spoiled by others, not hard to tell by the look of him (ha!) and doesn't need more from me.

Oh, I saw Carla the other day, for the first time in ages. She must be at least 15 now. (She was on her own doorstep.)

She and Nicki hated each other and Nicki would fly into a rage when she would hang around the outside of the fence. I think she spends most of her time indoors now, though, and if out, doesn't go far from her home.

Anyway, the only one left to stop by this morning is George; he usually turns up a bit later! (The pic below is from early April; I might have posted it already.)

At least I don't have to play referee with him!

Oh how fun to have all these kitties come by for a visit and of course a treat. Jake looked like he might have been devouring his food. And Carla, doesn't she look beautiful all in white. Nicki may be on her mind, like why doesn't she come out anymore? Glad you had sun when you took those pictures. Will look for George again one day when he poses for new shots. Lynn and Precious XX
You sure have some good looking visitors stopping by for a meal or treats!

Your visitors don't look like feral cats, Kim... Do they have homes nearby?

All beautiful kitties.

Finn may catch on to the fact that he could have a pretty good scam here: show up, threaten to cause some trouble, treats are given to facilitate peace... It's a feline protection racket.

The kitties know a good thing when they find it. I have to say, though, it disappoints me to know that your neighbours allow their cats to roam.
But at least you get to enjoy some kitty company!

How happy We are that the neighbourhood kitties know where to find a Safe Place , where they will be fed and get Treats and a bit of Loving.
I think these are the best kinds of neighbors to visit! Cute photos.

I love your neighbors! They are gorgeous and I would be out there as often as possible loving on them! Love what John said about a feline protection racket!
